Will you give up on Aion by late 08-09?

Yes, humans! If Aion is not finished by mid-2008 to 2009, will you give up on it? It asks this because, with all the love this one has for Aion, too many great things will be available by when. And it means games like Lost Odyssey, Metal Gear Solid 4, Super Smash Bros Brawl, Devil May Cry 4, Final Fantasy XIII (most likely), Final Fantasy Versus XIII (most likely), Fable 2, Gears of War 2 (most likely), Ninja Gaiden Black, Killzone 2, Jak and Daxter 5 (hopefully by then!!!!), God of War 3, Turok, Too Human, Fallout 3, Dark Sector, Silent Hill 5, Untitled Atlus RPG, Infinite Undiscovery, The Last Remnant, and much more. Past these games, MMORPG's being developed (worth mentioning): Square Enix's Untitled one, Bioware's Untitled one, and....and....well....others.

Now, with all these magical, delicious, delicacies of what humanity has best to offer, do you think your attention towards Aion will dwindle, or completely disappear if it doesn't even have a U.S. beta by this time frame?

if aion is not out till 2009 i wont quit instead ill drop out of school, go crazy, and start hitting people on the street to see if i get drops then after ive seen 10 flahses of light ill belive i can fly and throw myself out of a tall building beliving i can fly

Mighty fine titles you posted in the list. I just hope I have a 360 before DMC4 and RE5.

Perhaps my interest will go down slightly for a little while, but I don't think I could ever give up on Aion. I mean come on, I'm still waiting for the next Duke Nukem. So I have learned I can be very patient.
Might go into a state of depression if I learn that there is no US beta by then; but the games that were listed could pop me right out of that.

I won't give up but I will certainly try other mmorpg's while waiting for Aion.

Some of the games you mentioned (DMC 4, MGS 4, Smash Bros, etc.) will be out soon enough that I don't think they'll interfere. Some of the other titles though (Fallout 3, FFXIII) Are slated for the fall of 08 so they very well could...However I really look at it more like I won't have any time for sleep! Not I won't have time for games. ;D

It's a good topic though. Especially for those that might have a hard time choosing between $50-$60 "one shot" console games and a Subscription based MMO. That's a LOT of cash in the long run. Hopefully I can convince me wife to let me.

This one listed games like DMC4, MGS4, and SSBB, Lost Odyssey, the early 08's, because although they will come early enough, they could last a long while. Especially SSBB, considering it's online multiplayer, with rankings, friends lists, the works. You could also go back and play the others again.

I've been waiting too long now to just give up on it. I might loose as much interest in it but i'll still play it.

Back when i first found out about it i was most excited about than i have been since. Even if we only had a few poor screenshots and some most likely false promises.

I still like how it's turned out though.

I don't think I will ever give up on AION its the first game wich REALLY caught my attention, that doesn't count for the fact I will still try alot of games that will be released in the "near" future.

figure we have all been waiting for just about a year already so no i wont bail on it. i will be dissapointed and annoyed but i wont bail. something amazing would have to be out on the market to take me away from aion and based on the crap games that got released this year i dont see it happening.
