About the Asmodians and Elyos

At first I thought the hair growing out of the asmodians backs were attached to the armor but now I see it comes literally from their backs. With the hair and wings they really remind me of bats, its kinda funny now but they are still cool. Yeah...vampire bats . And whenever I think of flying I always see wings with feathers on them which keeps me leaning towards the elyos still, their wings seem more real to me but the way i see it I will pick elyos if you can customize alot with them like for example those markings on their face. If I can do that then i will definitely pick them but if not asmodians ftw! :P Just felt like voicing my opinion, feel free to add on.

I was leaning torwards Elyos in the beginning, now I'm more Asmodian, but I dunno still. >.>

I fear that there will be Asmodians/Elyos imbalance in population from the start.
To me the Asmodians seems to have mostly ugly skin color and they live in a darker area. I think that would make most people want to play the Elyos. Yes most not everyone. The same imbalance happened in WoW with most playing Alliance. To make more play Horde they added the new beautiful and playable race blood elves to the Horde.

Even if more people went alliance in wow they didn't pvp and with the weird instanced BG system the queue were annoyingly long..

There was an imbalance in all realms and it wasnt JUST alli>horde. Some realms were like 12 Horde to every 1 Alli....

But still...Imbalance=Fun fun! Especially if youre on side with less and you win. Means youre uber good :P

Its always better to be on the side with less people imo.. it sucks to just out number people and win, but its amazingly fun to take out a larger force and still stand triumphant.

Have you seen any of the new screenshots lately? Asmodians aren't all blue and grey there bud. They've got white ones and tanned ones and all kinds of skin tones that are 100% common to our own species.

And about their area being "dark", once again, look at the screenies my friend. Asmodea is surreal. With all those trippy bioluminecent and blacklit foliage, it seems like a wonderful land. Why go Elyos just to see enviroments I can look at from my own backyard?

Well when i pick a faction it has nothing to do with their landscapes or character looks as all of that will be seen and gone after the first few days. I just pick whichever and go with it, usually it depends on which race my guild (if i have one prior) is going or which side my friends are going.

Thats why theres the NPC faction to help out, don't worry about overpopulation.

As with World of Warcraft I will select a faction based on a majority-rules vote within my circle of friends (as we intend on creating characters to level together with). As of right now the consensus is Asmodian, however this is subject to change at a later time.
