PvP outside the abyss ?

I'm little bit confused here...can someone clear this out for me!

Inside Abyss : Free for All (like Lineage 2, but RvR)
Outside Abyss : No PvP at all ?

I'm pretty sure PvP is everywhere, but very heavy inside the Abyss.

hope PvP is everywhere also...and the Abyss is kind of just like a challenging grounds of sorts. If PvP was just in the Abyss, it wouldn't really be pvpve, they would be separate things.

Yea... It'd be PvP and PvE seperate.
And also I just realized something.
We haven't seen any PvP in the Abyss yet, it's all been in other places, so I'm thinking that's fact enough pvp will be everywhere. O:

PvPvE just refers to the RvR+Balaur doesn't it? So that aspect doesn't guarantee PvP outside the abyss.

However they have said that there will be portals that connect both sides of the world, so that one side can attack the others. I am just curious how these portals will work, if there are some that are always open, or if they all spawn randomly as some that they talked about.

Ken Choi said in one of his video interview parts that the only PvP will be in The Abyss and when those Portals open up in certain zones.

He specifically said that the Elyos PvE on the Elyos side and the Asmos PvE on the Asmos side. The PvP portion comes from The Abyss which is the equivalent of the War Front.

you can pvp any where but i dont think you will get any benefits for it out side the abyss.
there are vid where the racers are in the same place and they are not in the abyss

hmm..didn't think about that..I was just going off the interview. But I do recall seeing that video of pvp on what looked like a beach or sand dunes or something. It didn't seem like the dark, drearyness that is The Abyss. Further investigation is definitely due.

Here is a vid of what everyone is talking about. The Asmodian goes through that blue portal thing and into the Elyos land where there are people fighting.

Its unclear how the portals work, or how non-abyss PvP will be handled. But there will be PvP in and out of the abyss. It will probably just be encouraged more, or rewarded more in the abyss.

In the video where the SM fights a ranger they seem to be declaring a duel one to eachother.
I clearly remember an yes/no window coming up before each fight.Also there was a countdown.
So i think its like free for all pvp at the Abyss and portal zones and a duel system for the rest of the world.
