Character Class/Profession Poll

I voted assassin as main then my sub is gonna be Gladiator

i voted assassin, cuz i just love dual wielding and damage.
i cant believe i read the entire thread. just wanted all the info, y'know?
funny thing is that i have played tank and healer. maybe its just my bad luck but people i am playing with always find fault with my job, even if we dont wipe once... its kinda annoying. and i know classes like assassins get pinned with a lot of blame for aggro.
so for now i am winging it with my favorite class!

I know exactly what you mean about people finding fault in the job you are doing. If not a single wipe happens then just ignore them and keep on going(unless they are the healer).

I just hope that most assassins won't be narutards. That type of assassins who think they can tank because they think that their imaginary jitsu skills will save them. Or in pvp when their survivability is so low because they don't bring any way of self preservation. They have ruined most respect I have for assassins in any game even if they are good(most arent). I just hope that the players here can redeem their name.

Chaos, great prediction you have there. Yes, sins act like them all the time and I wouldn't have thought of them that way if you didn't term them as "narutards" haha.

But I'd like to give you a friendly reminder that AION may be very different and it's very hard to judge anything because we haven't actually had our hands on the game. (Remember that Elyos vs Asmodian thread)

I voted for Cleric in the poll thanks to my past background of classes in MMOs being Monks/Priests/etc. Though I'll have to make my decision between Cleric/Chanter once we're able to try the game. Clerics seem to be the more standard healer. Whereas Chanters sound to be quite the interesting class.

On a side note, if I ever do get around to making a second character a Spiritmaster sounds quite appealing.

If you've read about clerics, they use alot of damage spells, melee, and a knockback/damage dealing crystal thing. And they wear mail :O

Very true that aion will be different game but it isn't the classes it is the people behind them. For example when GW factions first came out everyone rolled an assassin. Most noobs would shadowstep into a huge afflicted mob and would face plant before they even started their chain. Most of the time these assassins were blond haired or brunete named after a naruto character thus they are called narutards. In any game I play I avoid people named after movies that just came out and anything from Naruto.

I'll only be playing cleric, that way I should be useful and always busy. Plus in most of the videos clerics seem to look bad ***. lollll ^^ Maybe I'll make another character if I ever get bored of cleric though... I'm pro at tanks in most MMOs so I might make a Templar afterwards.

Was a complete toss up. I'm interested in the Gladiator and Assassin, but I have never really played something like the Cleric, so that's what I voted for.
Sounds like a really fun class to play.

If you've played Guild Wars, I'm sure you've noticed how many people try to imitate Naruto -- all the way down to his hair color and costume, not just the name. It was so ridiculous, considering it was all about "Assassins" until many nerfs followed. I'm certain Aion will be much different
