I usually try to be the least popular but fun class (which happened to be my favorite class...), just to even out things in the games so I picked spiritmaster. I love the elementals though especially the water and wind summons.

Although I voted for Ranger (of course), the poll results we have so far looks very equal and reasonable. Although there should always be more melee (Gladiator and Templar), in my opinion, I'm surprised all the classes are evenly distributed.

I'm gonna have to try Gladiator, Archer, and Chanter before deciding.


I enjoy all-out melee offense, especially if there is a lot of aoe involved, but I'll get turned off if the playstyle is too basic.

I enjoy archery if it has that certain scout/ranger feel to it, and not the ninja/rogue/semi magical deal, but like above it just needs to have something beyond being a "ranged damage dealer" to keep me interested. The Guild Wars ranger was fun, with how you could forfeit damage almost entirely and assume a pure support role.

I love staff fighters which is really rare in games overall, so I'm really interested in just how much the staff plays a role for a Chanter, or if it's just "what you need equipped to cast spells".
I usually gravitate towards support/utility in mmo's, which is another obvious bias towards Chanter. I despise the traditional "buffer", and will scratch it off my list in a heartbeat if that's what it's about.

You contradict yourself. "I usually gravitate towards support/utility in mmo's" and then "which is another obvious bias towards Chanter.".
Chanter. A buffer. A party buffer. A party squishi buffer. And you gravitate towards him (he is support AND utility). Yet this is an obvious bias towards the class you gravitate towards.
I'm kinda lost. But hey, I'm just a non-native speaker...

Probably my english being flawed more than what I'm trying to say. I always thought a "bias towards" something means you have a preference for it.

But yes, I enjoy/gravitate towards/prefer utility/support roles, and that's what I was trying to explain in my earlier post.

Yes, "bias towards" means you view something favorably and non-objectively. "Bias against" means you view something disfavorably and non-objectively. All "bias" indicates is that you're not impartial. If you said you were leaning towards a class it would indicate that all were considered, if you said you were bias towards a class it would indicate that you hold it to lower standards than the other classes, that you're already predisposed to liking it.

What i will go for real will depend of open beta, it's where i will try test Templar, sorceror and spiritmaster, those are the classes I'm interested in.

Here, let me help us out.

Gladiator numbers seem to be just right, but Rangers are right behind them. Too many Rangers = not good. It will become another GW and L2. Although this is not safe to say, because Aion may be dramatically different than those other games.
