This is only the results of one community, with roughly 200 votes now. This doesn't provide a reliable model for what the game is going to be like.

Thanks for repeating what I've been trying to say over and over (hopefully it didn't sound sarcastic to you). Hopefully someone will pay more attention to it through you than me.

I'm thinking maybe Assassin. I've usually played classes that were good F-You melee DPS...although somehow they always seem to get nerfed into oblivion...so I dunno.

Failing that, maybe a Gladiator or Templar.

I voted cleric, but I'm not dead set (no pun intended) on it. I love my monk in Guild Wars, but I wasn't crazy about the Priest class in WoW. Just depends on how the cleric class plays out.

The poll distribution is interesting. The Spiritmaster is falling behind, but I think our lack of information on their skills is to blame. We know they've got cool minions/pets/summons, but what can we do with them

Can you use your earth summon to proactively block, tank or buff? Can the air pet attack a flying foe while you are on the ground? Can the fire summon grill your hamburger hmmmm...

Well, any poll is a relatively small portion of the population. The biggest problem with this poll, I think, is that nobody has actually played their chosen classes. When I first looked at WoW I was really pullin' druid. Well, once I played I realized it wasn't at all what I was looking for that I thought I had found through the general description.

Personally, I don't think population is going to be that big a deal. If you're good at your class and you get a reputation as such finding groups shouldn't be a big issue. Early level dungeons should be pretty lax on character requirements (by which I mean to say you shouldn't x, y, and z classes for sure and then fill in the other 3 slots with whatever... a broader setup should work fine), and by the time you get to end-game dungeons running PUGs probably isn't going to be your first choice, nor should it really be necessary if it's a decently active guild. I mean, I'm looking at sorcerer, ranger, and gladiator, 3 classes that I can almost guarantee will have high relative populations. However, I'm confident enough in my abilities as a gamer that it doesn't really bother me. I would almost rather play the overpopulated class so I can set myself above the standard and in that way be in demand personally. Even if there are a ****ton of rangers, everyone wants a good ranger, not just any old pick up.

I just hope that most assassins won't be narutards. That type of assassins who think they can tank because they think that their imaginary jitsu skills will save them.

The people who do that probably came from FFXI... Utsusemi FTW :P

I'll probably end up going Sorcerer. In every MMO I've played, I've been what I thought was the most desirable, least-played class, and tried to just be a support character. I want to try something different and actually be able to enjoy the beautiful graphics and gameplay rather than stare at health bars when I play.

I'd also like to say that this poll certainly isn't reliable in determining the actual amount of players for each class. From my experience in every MMO i've played, tanks and healers are always the lowest demographic. You can expect there to be alot more gladiators and sorcerers when the game is released.
