ASSASSIN vs RANGER

Well I if anyone here is like me they want to go into the scout class.. Now i'm think kinda of Ragnarok Online that ranger is a stalker and assassin is a sincross..l Which one is better and with the ranger do you have to use bows or can you mainly use 2 swords???

Rangers use both dual-blades and bows. Assassins are meant to only use daggers. Both can stealth.

Of course, with the Stigma system you can have you character wield almost any weapon or magic (almost, we don't know to what extent). It's very expensive to do so, though.

From what I have seen. IMHO reminds me of FFXI Rangers and Thiefs. This is speculative but I think as far AS DD output Assasin can probably equal or better a ranger but will require more skill. As far as what play style will be more enjoyable no one but people in beta would really have a valid opinion and that would vary by the player.

Yes, the assassin's main weapons will be dual blades, if I'm not mistaken. They will also be able to use Bows, but not as effectively as the Ranger.

If you want to think of it in RO terms, think of the Ranger as a Hunter, without the pet, and the assassin as the Stalker. They both use bows, but the hunter uses them more effectively and has more skills focused on their use. They can also both use daggers, but the stalker excels in them and has skills focused on their use.

assassin uses dual daggers and bow, primarily on daggers, ranger uses a bunch of diff weapons, primarily on bow, but i think there is a style called a duelist that uses dual swords

I didn't know both classes could stealth... The assassin's stealth most probably much more effective.

Currently with the CB in my opinion the Ranger would win because he doesn't have to turn and face the target while shooting his arrows so he can basically run and shoot.

If you base yourself on the description a newbie using a ranger would probably get owned by all classes. It's said the Ranger has many skills but it isn't a class easy to use effectively.

I always have to start thinking of picking the hard classes lol but alot of skills is a plus for me

Let's wait AT LEAST for the EU/US closed beta first. Then we will have much more info so we can make some realist (based on facts not Korean translations) X vs. Y topics.
I like to debate this kind of stuff too.. but with the information we have so far, we're wasting our breaths (in this case our fingers and eyes)

Hellriser is right to be honest; its certainly early days. As for the mention of both classes stealthing; to my current understanding stealth becomes available as a scout, but it gets progressively better with the assassin, as opposed to the ranger who has the base form (along the lines of 40% speed reduction, 20 second time limit)

Here is the thing tho... the only thing we have to talk about in terms of the game is speculation. So let the speculation roll, it will keep us amused until something is released beyond Korea.

We don't know much first hand, so we can't really make an assumption yet. And the Ranger stealth is not as effective as the Assassin stealth; each level I think it upgrades quicker for the Assassin than the ranger.
