I do, however, agree that unless people know about something, their opinions on the matter should be nil, but people will inevitably spout on about things they are ignorant about and the only way to silence them is by proving them wrong and providing the correct information. So even though all the sheep will follow the ignorant shepards, the more educated or veteran MMO players will seek out the quality information that they need before being satisfied. Arguing with them is a noble and uphill effort but it might take as little as a simple post with a link to here that will snag some of those quality players.

Either way, whether a good or bad review, at least the Aion name is getting out there. The more people see the name, the more interest there will be in the game.

Is it better that people read something mediocre or bad about Aion or never hear about the game at all?

Besides, I will need alot of PvP fodder to lvl myself up in the Abyss..we need to be accepting noobs from other lesser websites with open arms

It's true that mmorpg.com has significantly dropped the ball on Aion, but it's also safe to say that the website has steadily gone down hill in a general sense for months now. It seems to me that they're trying desperately to become something that they are not and hoping that this attracts even more visitors; or perhaps it's a mad grasp at more cash from more sponsors.

I digress though...

Anyway, it bothers me that they're labeling these videos as "mmorpg.com exclusives". I really must wonder what their reasons are for doing this, especially on videos that are so freaking old. Do they just arbitrarily tack this word onto anything and everything that's on their web site? It certainly seems this way to me, and in any case it shows a distinct lack of professionalism and respect.

In regards to the content and their (lack of) coverage, it appears that mmorpg.com focuses only on the most popular titles. For the rest of it they want their users to do the leg work for them. Perhaps this is laziness, or perhaps this is a result of having a limited staff. I can't say that I know the answers to that, but I'm definitely not going to do their job for them.

As far as the users are concerned, I use mmorpg.com and post over there occasionally myself. I actually found AionSource.com as a result of posts on that site. If they would cover the title appropriately then I think that we'd have even more folks interested in Aion and almost certainly hitting this and other Aion fan sites as a result.

Potential supporters are there, but mmorpg.com's "coverage" of Aion is caustic at best. Perhaps not deliberately, but certainly as a side effect of keeping their user base in the dark about the game when there is such rampant misconceptions about the title and so much information available to counter it.

Anyway, that's enough of my ranting. I could go on and on. :-P

You have to admit that Aion is one of several anticipated MMOs to be released this year. Aion is the underdog for now, taking second seat to the Ammerican-made Warhammer and Darkfall. (Don't bash me for saying this, I'm not completely sure. Otay?)

Aion is being put down simply because it is only being viewed as "yet another pretty Korean grind-fest that will eventually got FTP with a cute little cash shop". I think it would be better to infiltrate their forums and EDUCATE instead of bashing them for idiots. Sometimes idiots are simply the uneducated. But then again a wise man once said "You can't fix stupid".

I think it would also b e wise to try and get the word out about Aion. This does have a slight downside. This will attract pre adolescent boys by the masses. Start praying they have a Barrens-like chat to occupy the 12 yr olds... (Chuck Norris..DUH-HURRR*twitch*)
