What is their second option then? Make another character, get it at max level and make it pure PvE or pure PVP. This is actualy a waste of time.

Being able to PvP and PvE at the same time is the best choice NCsoft ever made. Just go to the Abyss and grind some mobs for rare materials and kick the opposite's race their asses
Exactly what i was thinking the entire time. I was hardcore into PvP in L2. What did I get out of it? A reputation as being a good pvper, alot of exp loss and occasionally gear loss due to being red and staying to fight, and way behind in lvling/money aspect.

The fact that I will be able to be a hardcore PvPer AND lvl/make money/get gear/get rep (look at my new shiny wings...FEAR ME!) all at the same time is what I have always dreamed of in a game. When I first read about Aion all I said was "finally!".

its foolish to pvp in l2 unless you are lvl 78+, and its foolish to pve once you are lvl 78+

if aion does have pve raid then i hope there not like wows, by the time u kill trash it can take days to clear an instance, i would like it 1-2 mobs then boss 1-2 mobs then boss again, best way imo, no pointless hours of trying again and again

I heard the only instances are for key quests, and you wont have to repeat them.

Instances can be fun, but imo theyre not worth it. They take away from the open PvPvE aspect of the game when you can hide in them all day.

Both hardcore and casual will be able to obtain all the items the game offers, referred by the dev lead designer as "uber" items. For those that pvp, you can obtain items and materials in the abyss, but for those that don't, you can obtain them via a quest that you will have to complete. He did say in his interview that it will take a long time to do it via the quest but that you can do it once you meet the requirements of it. So, really you can get them either way.

It was also said that the Abyss IS the endgame for aion. The pvp is the main force for this game. The quests are there for leveling, for those that like quests, and will allow you to level grinding mobs or doing quests at close to the same rate. Once you hit max level, there is really only sieges left to do from what they have so far. But since this game is made from the same people that make L2, it's only obvious that it's more a pvp game.

For you casual gamers, of which I am not, I think the crafting and quests should provide you with many hours of enjoyment. Even us hardcore gamers love having those that craft as part of our guilds and hopefully the people in your guild will keep you coming back and enjoying the game.
