never fear aion is too complicated for it to retrofitted into a ps3 format, somting more simple like guild wars would be more likely.

As long as this decision doesn't delay the initial release date I don't care.

Bringing the game to different systems is a good thing as long as they don't dumb up the game to put them on the consoles. It will bring in a larger customer base, which means more money for the company to use on the game! <--best case scenario

Right and how are they going to fix one of the most importand part of MMOs chatting? voice alone wont do that mmos just require a lot of typing work and i don't see poeople plug a keyboard into a PS3 to play a MMO if you can play it just aswell on your PC (whit better grafics sice PC evols fast wille consoles take years to get new stuff)

i don't see MMO coming to a console for a long time. but thats just my 2 isk

Honestly. You guys are heavily under-estimating the power of consoles, especially the PS3 with all it's raw power. Aion could run at the very LEAST, medium power on the PS3, as long as Ncsoft takes the time to work on it.

People already voice chat on MMO's on consoles, and most people have keyboards for their 360/PS3's, I do because I used to play FFXI on it. Also, MMO's have already been coming to console. PS2 ran Everquest II, and FFXI.

Yes, and it would dumb down the game, make it easy to handle with a pad and you will be limiting player skills importance.

It's all about how much work they put into it. They can tweak the controls to compare to the PC way if they put enough effort into that category. But, I can see you being right about the limiting player skills importance. There's always something they could integrate to counter this dilemma.

Many players will have a keyboard for their PS3 for things like Playstation home, and many other online games. And if they don't they may decide to for Aion. Well then why don't they just play on their sweet tricked out PC? Well maybe they don't even have one, or more likely they have a piece of junk one that can't run old PC games, much less games like Aion.

I think releasing it for console would help attract a ton of people who wouldn't be able to play otherwise.

PS2 did not have EQ2, it had Everquest Online Adventures which was really just EQ1 made into a console "MMO". I doubt that Aion will be available for consoles at launch but possibly later on. I wouldnt mind if it was made available on consoles as long as there was no advantage to playing it on a console over a PC.
