Hopefully there is a way to monitor who has contributed to the guild that week/month. Maybe not a forced tax, but it would be nice to know who is helping.

This is by far the most structured guild system of any game that I am aware of. WoW was way too liberal and guilds often failed because of it. FFXI had virtually NO guild system. Those linkshells pretty much sucked.
But thank god! I was thinking as I was reading about the crests that they should have a feature to make custom ones and BAM, we have it. Thank you NCSoft. And the most important feature of all! A LEGION BANK! No more muling for us Aion-players. This simplifies the whole process for us. I still want to hear more about these guild points. I definitely love how guilds earn levels based on activity. Definitely good news.

There are virtually no differences from Aion and L2 guilds from what I've seen so far. Except that they are called Legions instead of Clans, the logos go on armour, instead of something created in photoshop that goes beside your name, and they have a Clan Bank instead of a Clan Warehouse...Which is all basically the same thing.

Yeah, but the difference will be that Aion will be great, if NCsoft keeps this flow of good content flowing.

Hmmm although this sounds like a good system, the fact that it said that people were making alot of Level 1 guilds worries me. That means people cant afford to let the guild grow in numbers, also it could mean that a level can only have a certian number of players in it. (10, 20, 30 ect)
I hope its nothing but I dont want to just see people who just want a channel to talk to friends suffering. My old WoW guild had over 100 active members in it. Some were raiders, some were pvp nuts, some were just there to have someone to talk to. That kind of guild doesnt seem possable under this system IMHO just my 2c |

If that becomes an issue it will be tweaked.
But keep in mind it was a beta test of the game and guilds were probably not the main concern for the players.

I can hardly see there being a problem with having to lvl up guilds...Look at L2, not only do you need to spend money, but you have to spend Skill Points as well, and in the higher lvl guilds, complete mildly hard quests that have to be done at the appropriate level.
A clan that is 2 weeks old and full ov lvl 20's doesnt deserve to be able to have 100 members. This isnt going to be even remotely a small problem when the game is going and people are high lvl. |
