Threat System in Aion?

I was wondering, does Aion have a threat system? It would make sense, of course, but I haven't seen any clear evidence of it yet.I did see a Templar use some weird skill and grab agro though in the newest class vids...

nearly any MMO will have a threat based system and i am 100% sure that Aion does.

if you look through the translated spells for the warrior tanking class (i forget the name now ><) you will see they are all to do with damage deduction or increased threat.

Alot of games are based on damage output, which makes it very pointless. I'm almost sure that Aion will since it's not a cheaply made, rushed game.

I dont know if anyone else here played RF Online in the early days.. RF had the ultimate aggro system... It was basicly whoever was closest to the mob had aggro (2hand meele weapons had a larget hit range then a 1hander) provided they were doing +/- 10% the sum total of the damage. It was great because people still had to think to fight mobs that were beating on the Shieldmeele (tank) and tanking wasn't stressful like it is in wow.
Another thing i really hate is when the tank pulls 9 monsters and I heal him.. 8 monsters on me.. I hope aion makes AoE tanking easier than the market standard.

i wonder if they can implement threat/aggro in pvp...that makes tanks in L2 so fun, but i dont know how it would work in a wasd game

I have seen many different forms or threat systems they all had thier flaws, some worse then others.
Im really hoping the threat system for aion would be along the lines of "the templar knowing how to do his job = no aggro for others" not just a broken system

Yea. I don't want it to be stressful though, like in WoW, if you had good dps you had to tone it down with a bad tank.

oh wasn't THAT a bloody nightmare XP

personally, id like to see something a little more concrete, guild wars is a good example of how this ISN'T done. Whenever i play that game it feels like a mass of confusion, and aggro is based off of a random dice roll X|

WoW was, except for the challenge in holding aggro, closer to what i prefer; more solid and track-able.
