I could have sword they addressed the issue of respawn rates within the first year of wow. they may have just increased it. I thought I read that respawn timers were supposed to increase when people were in the area. But, there's no way I can prove it as it was a looooong time before the expansion.

I'm pretty sure named mobs are on a set timer in wow.

Mob spawn time can't be as bad as they were in Lineage 2 for class transfers. And it's pretty much to be expected there's gonna be some waiting for spawns this early in the game. The first week to month of actual release will probably be like this. Welcome to the non-instance world.
Lol, I remember those class transfer mobs...and quests...*Shudder* It was a lot of fun having to drag my *** across the entire world repeatedly >.>

Brings back wonderful memories doesn't it? Collecting 4 out of 5 quest items from a mob in about 30 minutes, and having that 5th "special" item take about another hour because of the crappy spawn/drop rate.

Nice list. Many of those things is something I will compare to L2 in my post below.

I remember they took awhile to add swimming to Lineage 2. I'm sure that's a feature they will add as the game is getting closer to release.

Not having dynamic mob respawn sounds silly, that is definitely something they need so it scale depending on the amount of players in an area. In L2 this did not exist, so yet another thing they have to simply adapt to and implement.

Sounds like a bug regarding escort quests not working in groups so far, I'm 100% positive they will have that added soon.

The questlog in Lineage 2 was lacking bigtime. To me it seems like they simply need to move away from their simple thinking with some of the features in L2 and adapt. Will be interesting to see what's changed in Aion in a couple of months from now.

Training would be nice to have in smaller towns, but, personally I like visiting the bigger towns in MMOs now and then. Depends on the transporation system though.

When a game is in development like Aion, it's pretty normal that there's lack of information on the official site due to so many sweeping changes. Remember, it's still in closed beta and there's a cb 3 coming up and who knows if there's a 4th as well

It also has to be a huge challenge for them to implement a reliable and solid server software using the new farcry engine. I doubt the downtimes is the host. It's the software. Could be the hardware they run on as well, but, my guess is that the majority of the server crashes doesn't have to do with the host at all. Usually issues like this are always worked on and they take a long time to improve upon. This is another sign that Aion will remain in beta for a long time to come.

Oh and the class transfer quests in L2? Haha. They were pretty harsh. Nothing like that please. Add some more dynamics then all the running around and grinding and cryptic objectives.

Don't forget having to run to some random spot way below the dungeon for 1 mob, then back to quest giver, just to find out he wants you to go back to the same spot to kill another mob there. GFG

I agree with Zyuu, if you had something 'dynamic' to the questing than at least it'll be more interesting. I think the worst experience I've ever had with questing was during Lineage 2, and its hella random *** tasks.

On another note, finding spellbooks in L2 was a ***** as well. Hopefully they're not as bad in Aion.

Actually, while it was a pain to farm in Enchanted Valley etc.. it also made spells seem rare and different. Instead of all of them just being obtainable from vendors like in most other MMOs. Make a couple of spells obtainable like spell books to make it more unique and challenging to have certain spells. It also encourage you to be in specific areas that might not get used as much otherwise.

Hell, some spells dropped off raid bosses in EverQuest. I doubt we'll see that in Aion though

This can turn out to be a huge problem. If they keep it at 1min only, people will feel discouraged to use them, therefore, the whole main feature of Aion would go down the well.

I hope they are already working on it, otherwise it will take a lot of time to get that feature ready bugless and with new areas attached to the world of Aion.

Players actually have to line up and wait forever just to complete 1 quest with out fighting and arguing with other players.
Dynamic spawn is the way to go. If they repeat the same crappy respawns like in L2, i'll be disappointed.

Probably some minor bug. Not the biggest of all problems...

That's something we've already checked in a previous CB2 feedback. They really need to work on the guides, but yet again, I bet they will be done sooner or later.

In L2 you had trainers in every single town. I doubt they won't do the exact same thing in Aion.

It's closed beta season. When the game goes live, they will have it ready almost for sure.

Pretty sure Irisviel just wanted to share some of the main complaints by Korean beta players. The good thing is Koreans actually do share some of our worries about Aion as well. Glad it's being addressed by the players.

Thanks for the great info again. And yeah lineage 2 was just awfull, one of the things that turned me off lineage 2.

But then again, do we really want everything to be so damn close and easy. I agree that it's nice, but there are a lot of people who just want everything fast so they can get the highest lvl in a very short time. Now imagine having everyone doing everything in the game in just a matter of few weeks.

What next? You'll be doing nothing but PvP probably while waiting for new content that will probably come in the next month(s). And I for one tend to find that very annoying.

I agree that there should be some changes but please don't make things too easy. Like point 6 doesn't seem to bad from what I hear from Shilenne. I don't see a problem as long as there are enough ways to quickly return to your home city.

Just my 2 cents.

In my opinion, slightly forcing people to group by making normal exp mobs quite tough kinda helps on this front. It's all a bit easy and slightly detached if you can just solo your way up to max level, so having to get the people together and working on strategy helps make it more challenging and ultimately more fun. In my opinion, of course.

This is what I hope for in Aion, and from what I hear it's kind of like this already.
