I enjoyed the naming system in Grenado Espada, you create a character name for its first name, and a last name for the entire family uses, what this would do is if anyone had alts, they would all have the same last name, which makes them unique, so you may have 800 different Clouds (how original) but only one Cloud Uigi (I like the names I make up...)

Yea, I really REALLY loved that about SotNW. But in a game with a single character, I feel it just might get in the way of my character name. But it could work out beautifully too, as long as you don't do any of the infamous names. But as it looks now, I am pretty sure it will be single name.

*edit* Whats a Uigi... and where can I buy one? ^^

You can make pretty weird extensions... "LolDariuss Suxass" -An ancient elven name(Right xd)

I agree so much. I hate those f2p games where everyone you see lacks multiple braincells and there are people with crappy names running around like "2h0tt4u" or "Q_T_gurl91285", "naRUto25432" "saske_IZ_mYn_33"

I like the naming policy where the first letter is capitalized, no numbers, no symbols, and no excessively long names...

A last-name system would be interesting, but not as practical in the setting aion is going to be. also maybe angels don't have lastnames? :P daeva might only be refered to their first name? haha, but personally, i have a last name ready just incase.

I think once you get high level you should be able to add a last name through a quest or something, that would be pretty cool!

I think they did that in EQ though, I can't remember.

Also that would help prevent some of the scammers too. Since most people use level 1 toons with similar names to yours to scam your clan / friends. "Let me borrow your weapon" etc etc.

Damn I remember the good ole days, watching people act like someones spouse or friend, and completely blind side them, but I suppose its easy seeing as how 90% of everyone had 10 alts...

I really hate to think of a last name. Not because I'm too lazy, it's because last names looks awful. You can express waaaaaaay more in one powerful name.
