Naming Policy and Character Deletion.

I have not seen any news upon this as of yet other than the required time before deleting a character.

I was curious as to what the naming policy is going to be like? Is there any such notice on the beta? How many letters? Are numbers allowed (hope not)? If you delete a character, can you re-use the same name for a different character, or perhaps a waiting period before you can?

One of the small things I've been wondering about that I haven't read anything about yet.

No clue as of yet, hopefully they disallow symbols and underscores as well.

I can't remember where I read the info, but numbers weren't allowed on names and there were a minimum amount of characters/letters required for choosing a name. I could have swore I read it in one of the articles posted, but I can't find it? Maybe I'm just crazy.

1.The background and interface of the login stage have been modified.
2.Characters now perform various actions during the Character Selection and Creation steps.
3.The Character Creation rules have been changed.
A.Character names must be 10 letters or less in Korean or English letters, and may not include numbers.
B.New facial and physical feature settings have been added for more flexible customization.
4.The Character Deletion stand-by period is 5 minutes for characters under Level 20,
and 7 days for those at or above Level 20.

Well.. I see bunch of people with retarded names such as xSephirothx, oLegolaso in korean beta >.> but I haven't seen people with numbers so probably no numbers. char deletion delay time is 5 min.

Yup, there's what they currently have in the Korean beta. The deletion policies, I don't see any reason they would make them different here than in Korea, but it could still be changed.

The character naming will probably be different, since 10 characters in Korean can mean more than 10 english characters. So we will probably be allowed more than 10, but we don't know how many yet. I also haven't heard anything about a minimum.

Zomg! I thought they had a good naming policy! But now that I hear from Iris that theres names like xSepherothx, That means they didn't put in a dam script where the first letter of your name is Capitalized WTF!!!! Also that means that you can have different parts of your names capitalized!
I just want to see first word capitalized and no others allowed, no numbers, special characters, or spaces! It's just annoying as hell for me when the first letter isn't Capitalized and other letters in your name are... Like hIGaRAshI! I don't know bout you but hope they change this >.<

I think names like that add a feeling of "trashiness" to a game.

Names like that just shows lack of imagination. Is it really so hard to find something a bit more original that Zephiroxx53?

There's always a good amount of those names in almost every mmo, sadly.
