Armor Graphics and Weapon Graphics

1000 questions tonight, but only because this is the best site on the Web for Aion.


Is there a lot of armor details? for instance, i don't want the same armor colored 9 different ways with different buffs, i want like 100's of completely different armor graphics. along with weapons? and do any of them glow so far???? not that its important, i don't want some grabage like WoW, High fantasy stuff, but a nice little red glow that says "Imma kill you in a not nice way" seems subtle yet effective.

Have we heard anything on armor besides customization and making it look like past armor? I mean how many different pieces are there, and do they all look different or the same like in FFXI?

High level armour will not be able to be skin changed and be locked with a certain skin

every armour you can die certain parts diffrent colours or the whole armour one colour.

there are a few videos on youtube that show the detail in he armours and they only showed the basic Beta armours more "Extreme" looking armors will be released with the game so it atleast has somthing never before seen to give to the non beta testing players that buy the game

there are plenty of screen shots that show detailed and different armors, but htye dont actually say which armor it is

LvL 15 armor? I really hope they aren't shallow like in free to play Asian MMO's where everyone looks exactly the same in a class. lvl 5 get this generic set. lvl 15 get this generic set. level 30 get this generic set......etc etc etc, with nothing in between or any variance. Lack of variety with equuipment types and styles are what kill MMO's for me. I like to actually have the chance to be unique and to get something special when looting a mob.

Uhm. He said it was lvl 15 because it happens to be usable from lvl 15 on. The armor "lvl" are more like WoW, where there's greens for every lvl with slightly different stats upgrade (so there's no point in getting a new armor every lvl) and then there's the white default vendor set.

Stop assuming this game is going to be L2. Remind me to take a screenshot from any random armor page on the AH.

And where are people getting these ideas of free asian MMOs from? If it's from those sites advertised around the english speaking part of the internet, and then people are saying this is what asians play over there, you're terribly mistaken.

Nobody plays those games, that's why they translated it into english and hope english speakers would play it. In asian the majority of the population prefer to play games that are paid (most of them on monthly basis) where it's pretty well developed. And due to their popularity with asians, developers didn't feel the need to translate it for more business (they're satisfied with what they have).

Makes me wonder when i make my enchanter, since there is going to be different skins, and you can dye your armor. Wondering if i can make my Chanter armor look somewhat Red Mage'ish. heheh

They added dye feature for a reason, you won't look all same compare to other people if you do it right. Also, I am pretty sure that once you get your hands on blue quality items, you will look pretty unique compare to others. :\ since blue items are insanely rare atm..

Since armor dye is available and we can transfer the look of one piece to another (I'd like to hear more about the limitations of that system), I'm mostly concerned that they have a variety of different styles of armor and that they are well designed. As long as we can dye our sets to coordinate as well as be unique from the people around us, I won't mind too much if most level 50s of a single class seek out the same set of gear.
