I saw in a video a raid window,

if you are running outside with a party can your whole raid hit the mob and everyone gets XP ?

Can someone explain the mechanics and xp distribution in parties and raids?

Raid size = 4 Parties -> 24 People

Dunno with XP o.O

Single Party - equally
Two or more parties - most dmg = more xp.

Random /100 roll + Need/Greed/Pass + Chief Gets All + other usual ones.

So healers and tanks get no exp? should be evenly distributed to active members. Those who did nothing and just stand near get nothing. At least this way looks more balanced.

I havnt heard anything but some games you can change the way cp is given out, highest dps, even & few others.

Best to get an answer from a tester.

If you organize a party you'll get the exp you want, as long as your DDs deal some damage to the boss/mob.

i think Xp is distribute accordingly to your lvl

Basically, if 4 parties take down a raid, and the raid boss gives out 500,000 exp.

The party with the HIGHEST amount of damage done, will get 200,000. So each of the 6 members gets 33,333 exp.

The 3 other parties each get 100,000 exp distributed between them, so the other 18 members gets 16,666 exp.

At least that's how I think lyan is putting it.

I dont like this idea. what if for raid perpouses you need a party of just priest and chanters? I dono if ittl work the same way, but in FFXI during raids parties were usually set by what you were doing. so there was a DD party, healing party, and tank party. If it is like that then the DD party would get all the exp.
