Just so you know playing on a big TV really isn't a pro for the console, I can play on a big TV with my computer as well it's not that hard.
Most people don't do that. Either because their TV can't connect to their computer or because they don't know. Or a combination of both.

Either way I use my computer for much more than just gaming and having the flexibility of playing on duel monitors is a big plus, mutli-tasking while playing, running multiple applications at the same time, so therefore consoles are just paper weights for me anyway and most of the games that come out on consoles just put me to sleep anyway
How is doing multiple things an advantage when it comes to playing an MMO?

Meh you probably won't really understand, no point in explaining it any further, if you haven't got it by now you never will, no sense in expending any further effort on this topic, it's a pretty dead end topic anywho.

First, Almost any modern computer have DVI or S-video input. Most any Modern TV has an S-video or DVIi port hmmm weird I thought you said most people CANT connect.

Mutilple things during an MMO. Well for one I can pull up a Wiki guide. Open up a messenger to talk to friends in and out of game. Using a record to keep track of things using Word. Theres endless ways to use muti-tasking to your advantage.

We would see some really skilled pvpers on consoles, with these ****ty keyboards dancing on your knees and an useless tiny mouse on sofa.

MMOs have no place on consoles, even simplified ones like PSO had horrid control and comunication system.

Also you prolly couldn't modify the game in any way (see cfg files, ui, etc) and what about screenshots? fraps?

Plus you are missing a lot of stuff, web, msn, music player, etc.

Console? Rofl. I guess it's somewhat possible, but I don't expect them to do it.

Epic was able to provide user modded content for Unreal Tournament 3 for the PS3. Not only that, but the PS3 has a web-browser and can hold music. Not only that, but if you're savvy enough to mod content, then you can probably install Fedora Linux on your PS3, so you can mod to an even greater degree.

FFXI still remains a great example of a console MMO. So I still believe there is a place for MMOs on consoles.

I didn't realize running messenger, wiki, word were requirements to run Aion. No one is arguing that PS3 is a better platform for the MMO.

See FFXI. I do agree, if you were trying to use a mouse on a sofa, it probably wouldn't give you great results. But remember, this is an MMO, not an FPS where the split second reactions actually matter. As much as I want an MMO to be that dynamic, it wont be.

Yeah oh god, no fraps, no msn, no music, man Aion definitely can't be on a console if you can't have all those running at the same time. I used to play mmo's on really terrible computers, so I wasn't able to run those extra programs. But you know what I was able to run? THe actual game, and that's what really matters.

Chances to see Aion for consoles is very slim

No, but it was asked how can multi-tasking "help" Aion, so i told him. Never once said that they were required to run Aion, simple improve upon it.

(Besides, even performance wise, a good PC out performs a PS3 anyday)

If it is such a great idea and so easy to do, why isn't everyone putting MMOs on consoles?

Because it wasn't worth it before. The MMORPG genre opened up with the debut of World of Warcraft if you didn't know. Now, developers and people have a whole different look on it. Plus, FFXI led the way as a real, breathing, huge MMO that came to consoles, and that will pave the way for future MMO's to come to consoles. Developers know that they'll make tons of extra cash this way as well.

However, I still doubt Aion will come.

hmm i expect that the amount spent developing a console version of aion would be greater than the profits recieved. Im fairly confident that throwing away money is not high on arenanets priority list. Ergo - the likely hood of such an innovation is faint.
