If they existed in real life Humans would probably go absolutely hysterical and gun them all down. Or at least try to oppress them somehow.

I don't think it was blandness that kept people away from the horde but their alien features. People easily identify themselves with human or very human-like races. Socializing with aliens as opposed to other humans just doesn't appeal to many people.
I guess that even though I was a Horde player (I found the Alliance annoying) the fact that my favourite race was the Undead may not be too surprising.

This is the good thing about Aion though - both races are fairly Human-like and therefore remain pretty accessible to players. The Asmodians slightly more 'fierce' visual appearance kind of fits their ethos of the darker and grittier side of life (note that I am not using the word evil here) which I think a lot of players will go for. I don't see much of a gap forming by the time game gets settled, and I think the Aion development team have been quite clever about it.

Just judging by the activity on these forums you can see that a lot more active members are going Elyos. Unless there are a ton of closet Asmodians lurking, you can bet there will be a tilted population toward Elyos in the beginning. As an Asmodian I am looking forward to it.

Yeah, there is the fierceness, which I think is pretty cool, but the main reason why I'm leaning more towards Asmodians right now is that their guys aren't all so damn effeminate. If I played Elyos, I'd be forced to cross-dress as there is no way I'm going to create a dude who isn't totally badass. I suppose the final decision would have to be made at the character creation screen.

But what interests me in this will it end up being like WoW where the majority are Alliance, as a example i will post the server stats on the server i played in wow, these a few months old.

On the majority of realms the horde is out numbered and i wonder if we will see the same in Aion?

I think that last bit is off :S On all three pvp servers I play on - Alliance is outnumbered almost 3 to 1... But that also may have changed. And, honestly, I don't see much in terms of the numbers - I'm sure the Asmodae will have some pretty skilled players - while the Elyos will possibly get the newer players since they see it as Good versus Evil :S

Ill say my opinion too.

I think people choose a race for the look they have, but lot of other things too. Like if all your friend are Elyos, well you go Elyos to be with them.

Another things, I didnt find a lot of asmodian pictures on any site. Almost all picture are from Elysea and Elyos. Personnally thats why Elyos are temptimg to me, but if i can see more area and characters from Asmodian, I may change. If they look more feral, ,well i may be on that side lol

Elyos seem to be more colorful and lightful. But Asmodian look darker, but im sure they are colorful too.

Me too I tend to say Elyos are good and Asmo are bad, but I know I am wrong, people need to separate the 2 factions just to please our stupid mankind mind lol Like Asmo look more devil, they are bad, even if they dont.

Everyone said they want to play elyos cause they want to be the good guys, but... personnally I was thinking ppl love to be more bad, but maybe i am wrong lol

Maybe at the beginning they will be more Elyos, but Since the 2 factions are cool i dont think that will last. People will test the 2 races and choose their side. I am sure, lots will change camp.

That was my opinion

Most of my clan that played WoW were horde, we just think the asmo look so stupid . I would prefer all the pvpers to go asmo, more competition for my clan

I'll be rolling Asmodian. I like to be the minority and the story behind Asmodians is pretty cool. They're a bunch of forsaken people who look awesome. I like to play the underdog and who needs sunshine anyway.

Well, even Asmodians can visit Elysean zones so I don't think you'll miss out on anything except perhaps the big cities that I think have barriers that prevent enemies from entering.

Frein, and environment without Kattrina is a dull and mundane place to live.

I personally will go with Elyos. First off, our wings pwn yours lol, your's are bat wings, and ours are angel-like. Angel vs. Bat, angel wins Second, with more people to play with, you can level faster, with a better environment so you don't get bored. When you hit the Abyss, sure there might be more Asmo PvPers that are good, but if you are good yourself, you can 1v1 one of these guys because your a higher level with better gear since there are more people on your side. Only disadvantage I see if Aion's servers turn out the same as WoW's are that in Castle Wars or w/e, more pro Asmo's = death of a few pro Elyos lol. Hopefully this is where our faithful 3rd faction will step in and help

Indeed, there's nothing like a little fresh Kattrina on your blade early in the morning.
