*shrug* I'm going primarily Asmodian. I want to point something out that some people haven't understood; the Asmodians do not have tails, they have manes. That's what I've come to understand. I personally like that they have clawed hands and feet with talons; I think it looks neat! Plus I've always had a liking for the darker side on games, so it's only natural that I lean toward the Asmodians.

That's not to say I won't have an Elyos alt, but I will have Asmodians first. Artistic feathered wings are great and everything, but I'd rather have them hanging from my walls.

I actually thought this too when I first joined the Source. It seems Elyos slightly outnumber Asmods, but there numbers are increasing. I'm not going to underestimate my enemy, I can see it being fairly balanced in the end; but more in Elyos' favour. Like someone said, thats when the Balur come in >;D

I think most Christian religious kooks are inclined to play as Elyos, and the majority of little kiddies will join the Asmodeans so if one wants to avoid interaction with either group, it's a tough choice.

NCsoft didn't want big differences beetween Asmodians and Elyos, just like for example european and american people. So what will be so different ? Mainly the landscape... Dark and sad or bright and green : don't go any further, people will go Elyos and I'm wondering what will happen if balaurs go on a strike

Just about all of the high-pop PvP servers are somewhere between a 45/55 and 50/50 split.

I hope the sides are even, so theres nothing to complain about, but i wouldn't mind being a little outnumbered. or a little over populated, but only a little.

That being a prick is fun and offering another absurd side-choosing theory, which just irks a few more then some of the other absurd ones posted. It's alright though, no raccoons were hurt in the process and in the end when the warring sides are left with nothing but ashes, victory shall belong to the Shugo. Wir mussen die Shugo a.... nvm!

Doesn't the forum assign you the "Elyos" choice by default after creating your account? At least I had the impression it did, if so, it might be why you're seeing it so often ^^

I'm so confused by what Seven is trying to do... So all that aside, the two races:

I know I will be going Elyos, because they seem to be a race that matches my personality in looks. One thing I always talk about with friends is how generally RPG's and Anime's characters are what I would call Extreme Types. Basically you would never really see or find a person in our world who would be the same way as a character in those groups. What you see in Anime alot is a very real and true emotion, picked out of a real world personality (that being a large grouping of feelings, actions based off of thousand and thousands of causs/effect situations, and all the other things that are involved in "Real World Living") and focused on, and build a world and a story along the same lines as a character built around a single purpose/emotion-type.

Elyos seems to match me based on some of those ideas. I want to see the beauty that the Elyos side will have in their world. Not to put the other race down (Can I do that? Aion Racism!

) but they are darker in their world. I'm the guy you see in WoW, who plays a Draenei, and runs past a tauren in trouble and uses all my CD's to save him if I have to. And I would do that for my side as well. I'm choosing Elyos, then I will mold my character with my own ways of thinking and develop a character extension of myself in the game ^^

Immersion... I may have too much of it. But it sure is fun!

Ah, basically the mirror image of me. When I run past a draenei in trouble on my tauren, I make sure the draenei dies. Even if it was possible, I wouldn't do it to my own faction, of course.
