I really hated the WoW UI customizations, most of them allowed exploits of some kind or another. So no thank you.. a UI for all is good imo. What the devs should really do about the UI is listen to feedbacks and do/redo what players suggest for that "stock" UI.

I would love a good solid UI that you can move and adjust to your own liking (Like GuildWars) Full customisation isnt needed and like another poster said, open for mild exploitation. Changing colour/skin is cool. But that should be where it stops.
I would love a UI that moved off the screen to your secondary monitor. Dual monitor gamers get little love... unless we play supreme commander >_>

I voted wow style, simply because it is an easy start for the game. If exploits become common, they can add in more restrictions. I trust NCsoft to monitor a game they have put so much time and effort into, specially if they expect it to be a WoW killer.

I'm torn between two sides. It's between the WoW customization and the new skins.
While the WoW customization offers more freedom and diversity, I think that system makes addons an essential part of the game. It's just the opposite for the new skins only idea. I think I'm going to go with WoW customization though because I really like to arrange everything just the way I like it. ![]()

Having the chance to move resize your UI is nice.... but as for WoW style controlled by devs would be bad UIs made WoW way too damn easy.....Autocleansing with one button dont even have to target anyone = lame IMO. I say just being able to change the look of your UI and some basic things like maybe like a PvP log or something

Cosmetic only. The WoW devs now balance their content around the advantages offered by mods, which isn't good.
However, the one thing I would like is a FuBar style mod - for those that didn't play WoW or use this, it's simply a bar at the top of the screen that has your (compatible) mods in. I wouldn't mind something like this that has the purely information-based mod stuff - for instance in WoW I have a Fubar plugin that tallies my gold across characters, and tells me how much I've earned (or lost) in a session. Another one provides a quick drop-down guild list if I need to look quickly, another tracks my faction standings. But the actual stuff like damage meters, threat meters, auctioneer... besides the exploit issues, they ultimately detract from the charm of a game imo. |

Being an UI developer for WoW myself, I would very much like to have the possibility to manipulate the UI, but not exploit it as many above proclaim UI customization does. It all depends on what you should allow to be accessed. Disallowing functions like casting spells and targetting people would remove a great part of what may be considered exploiting it.

i say hell yes for any other game with wow style add-ons but for NCsoft i would like to see at most changeable skins and that's it anything other than that would turn into add-ons that let you bot and NCsoft wouldn't notice until like a year later that people were botting.
it was good in wow cos the game was easier than most and was also deeply monitored by GM's
