I'm a huge fan of customization. I can spend hours fixing my UI. After all, if I'm to look at something for hundreds of hours, might as well make it JUST the way I want it. I must have a hundred addons on WoW, and while some addons in WoW history were really too much and were nerfed by the devs(like the old decursive and some healbots addon that would choose both your target to heal and the spell rank to cast for maximum efficiency), most addons only enhance play experience.
You are never forced to, say, look up your questing addon, but if you don't have it, you can be sure you are going to ALT-TAB out of Aion and go to the new Aion quests database website when you are tired of running around aimlessly. I think no addon should take decisions for you. But I couldn't live without the others. UI customisation is fun: http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l1...al/panther.jpg

I can't get it why so many ppl already voted for WoW style. Those damn addons made the game so easy that grandmothers could play. I really don't want to have Aion also on such low level.

I'm all for customizing the UI to suit your playstyle, and visual preference (although I do wish the game could maintain a somewhat uniform look). But I am against addons that make the gaming experience different for someone who uses them, compared to someone who doesn't.

It seems you are slightly misinterpreting the situation. All three NCsoft branches are working hard on Aion. You might not see much publicity from all, but that's fundamentally because we have played out slightly varying roles up and until now. I believe that we have been able to communicate all official information with a quite decent time delay. We are also here (as we always will be) to take in feedback. The Suggestion Cycle threads are, for an example, an excellent source used in mapping out the wants and needs of the community. The fact that beta now only happens to cover the South Korean regions does in no way mean that we have any less desire to let other territories partake in testing the game. More rather, we would want nothing more. But reality remains - there are obstacles there that prevent us from doing so at this instant. I'm of course talking about localization, both client-wise and communication-wise. The client is not yet fully translated, and while it's progressing with a good pace - we don't want to expose the game to players in a language they probably don't understand. It just takes away too much from the MMO experience. To come to terms with this, the initial testing phases are in the development language, allowing the developers to put more time and effort in to actually making the game ... dare I say 'awesome'? |

Then Mr. Ayase, the full release will prove how much of that suggestion cycle will actually be implemented into the game. Sorry to put it like that, but NCsoft hasn't really been a trustworthy company in the past.
Then again, the fact that you are here (I kept being surprised how objective and correct most of your comments have been - something like that didn't happen to me yet in that extent) is already a very good sign and as many others I'm thankful for that fact.

Also keep in mind that they can't implement ALL of the Suggestion Cycles before release due the short timeframe and the priorities. I'm happy when they implement most of the ideas/suggestions in the first 6 month after release. But only time will tell.

Add a "u" End*here*rance and you will know about my ability to endure time and pain.
Then again, good ideas should be implemented sooner than one year after full release, I agree with you on that one.

So it's Enduhereance?
![]() Anyways... A feedback how the dev's like the ideas from the Suggestion Cycle would be nice. But they'll be too busy to answer...
