No, what I meant was that people consider that armor is "sexy" because they realize Semus is in it. I'm sorry but first of all that armor as mentioned has 1 hideous shoulder design. And believe me, if you were to wear an armor that has a heavier upper part and a slim relatively light leggings and feet part, you'll find yourself having a hard time trying to stand up straight in it, not to mention running without falling over.

It's true. I hate it when they design such huge shoulders for female armor. It should be more delicate than the male counterpart in terms of proportion, but in terms of what's revealed it should be the same. I mean, that's the ideal for me.

I would like to see a wide range of armor to select from, this is a fantasy game afterall not mid-evil times. i don't want to see everyone looking the same ( tin can's clinking and banging around). If i would like to see my toon dressed down, why not its my choice. If you want armor from head to toe why not its your choice. Just because someone objects to it does not mean they should allow you not to have the option. freedom of choice is my motto

There's also Spartan-458 (i think thats the number?) in DOA4.. AKA Nicole... She's in the armour and it's definitely not sexy.
And neither's that Samus armour.

I always thought it was kinda strange seeing a near naked female fighting something and getting chopped to pieces with no armor that would protect her or anything, yet no matter how many times she takes a normally decapitating blow, she still lives xD. Yay for armor...

To make feminine armor that covers all you need to do is make it conform to the female shape, even add little characteristics that are feminine. Like in this image, not too girl, functional, shapes out the bust and curves and has a dress like attachment to it.
And this is a simplistic design:
