![]() I do get the point of what most of you are saying that most guys in the internet play the "i'm a girl card" just to take advantage of the real guys that are interested on them. But honestly, that's also their fault (the guys giving their items to some internet "girl) for doing those things. Everyone knows what MMORPGS really mean right? Like I don't have to spell out that acronym one by one...it's like common knowledge. If everyone just remembered it more often, we wouldn't have a problem with internet gender confusion. My girl-friends that play hate it when their bf's or random internet guys give them items for the simple reason that they can hunt it themselves, since they say it's a sense of accomplishment for them, and they're not some weak prissy princess that needs to be helped to be good at their respective characters. To guys reading this, if some person in game claims to be a girl, ask for proof, simple as that. Through voice chat or even better, webcam to show that it's really them, I mean as long as it they aren't being asked nasty things or harassed they would do it (my friends do, but then they don't announce they're girls either). That's another thing...girls don't really announce to the whole world that they are one, as if everyone in the frickin' game needs to know they're a girl. They keep it mostly among themselves, or to guildmates or online friends. If they refuse to go through voice chat saying some inane reason like a broken mic or such, then automatically assume it's a guy trying pass as one. Besides, everyone knows that if said gamer girl is online with her bf (or a bunch of rl friends), try fighting/insulting the girl and the bf/friends comes to the aid of the gf .@Shilenne lol thanks...well the only reason why I said that is because I have experienced being open about that subject on some forums and generally closed minded people, that I've never heard of before will start attacking me because of my personal choice. I just didn't want this to become some hate thread because of it .

yes u r right that many guys play females char for getting attention and/or items/money. but u must reconsider that not all of them play females char for this... I usually play female char but not for this.. I just find females more good looking that males and when they fight they look really sexy lol . .. but it's inevitable that some guy 2 hustle me
and sometimes I play the game 2 see how far "the rabbit goes" lol.. but always in the end I tell the true if not from the start. And when I do that I do when I'm bored or if I want 2 make fun of him lol.

Definitely gonna play my own gender in Aion...
God, back in L2, I played a female Dark Elf Bladedancer. Man...I got so many pervs trying to get at me I had to change my title to "I'm A Guy." >< My own "eye candy" backfired on me. I was gonna play DE male, but they didnt take the cake for me, as far as appearance, and I rather see a female dance anyway :P I'm especially gonna be a male in Aion, since i can actually be a black guy! |

Hahahahahaha... In our L2 vent, we have at least 8 dudes who play female characters, and it is funny to see a female toon interact with a guy's voice, especially when they can get pretty dirty too. A clan full of female toons, and you get in vent, it's all but one toon who is actually a real female. |

Regarding your old friend who wanted to be female irl, you should really be more understanding. Sure, lying isn't a nice thing, but transgender people go through enough in their real lives, going through your whole life being psychologically the opposite gender that you are physiologically is very rough. In-game he could get away from these troubles and truly be "himself," or "herself." Some people need to get away from their realities, and although that is not my case, I don't judge people in these situations. I see nothing disgusting in that. Really, I think he has the right to keep hidden the things he is unhappy about and to do whatever makes him happy, does that harm anybody? |

Well ... really iteresting topic .
I personaly always play different , depends on the character's look. I usually always play magician class in all games but if the armor looks cool or the character looks cool i choose the one who looks cool in it. So bassicaly i play always different but this time i will play female for sure cuz male magician in huge dress (like they call it here:"robe") looks kinda funny for me and besides that , angel wings look cooler on females in that game (for me) |

As for my friend, I totally agree with you. The problem is.. I've known her since I was little, and she never had shown any signs of wanting to be a female.. EVER... She even had girlfriends, and as I recall was a pervert just like most other young boys.. I've talked with other friends of mine who have known her for longer than me, and they were just as stunned and confused as me when she first began to tell us.. I guess its just something that is hard for me to understand, I support her as much as I can, but its difficult for me to when she says she is a female, and a lesbian at heart... That to me just screams, "I like girl on girl action" and then makes me think that she is just afraid that a female would reject her as a man.. Especially since she hasn't shown any interest in physically becoming a female, other than growing out her hair.. *sighs* Its just a difficult situation for her, and everyone who has known her to be in.. To me personally, its just frustrating because she is doing EXACTLY what causes the stereotype that females don't game. :[ And with her being one |
