My main is always a male character, unless it's really ugly (which I don't think will be an issue in aion). After that, it's whatever I feel like. I'll roll female and male alts.

I sorta feel the same way, but I only have a problem with guys playing girls as females when they do it just to get special attention. I mean, people will do what they want, but I think that makes them fake.

Do you really get that from people when you play a female toon by yourself? It's not very surprising, but I would think that you'd get more males flirting with you and stuff.

It's so annoying to me that some guys will be a complete *** to me just because I am a guy, but when a girl comes along, they get all "sweet" and start "caring". That kind of stuff just really makes me mad. -.-

the point of a role playing game ( because even if i dont RP its still a RP game in the first place) its to be something different. One not being able to tolerate that has a problem in the first place imo.

Now there is a lot of player playing females for differetn reasons ( and if as many firls/woman were playing the same would apply for males) Some gona do it jsut to have special attention, some because they like it, some because it does look better. the list goes on. The only reason that would disturb me is those playing females char and attempting to make eveyrone belive they are females, but nowdays those games arent played without vocal chat ( at least i dont) therefore this anhiliate all they attempt.

now i reckon there is a ton of people that havent realized yet that its a game not a relationship website. But as long as there is immature people we wont get rid of this.

I dont care if ppl play the opposite sex ingame. but when a guy Is trying to playoff being a female to extra attention thats weird.

idk if anyone else feels the same way. There has to be a psych disorder behind that me thinks lol. JKs

Don't get me wrong, I can tolerate it. I simply turn the other cheek, but I don't like the idea of it.

I play females. If people have a problem with it it's their loss. I won't lose any sleep over it.

Coming from Guild Wars as the latest MMO I played I can honestly say that every male player that I met in that game had female character(s). It's not uncommon any more and I don't see why it still bothers people.

There are some games that force a gender depending of account settings, which depends of your korean KSSN.

I used to play male characters only, often "good guys", then one time I was tired of them, and decided to make a female elfe character in neverwinter nights that could be sum up as a damned ***** that kills anyone that is non useful for her. I'm not identifying particularly to this kind of character, but it was a kind of real role play, I was playing a role when playing with her, and I really enjoyed it as is.

Then I didn't played much any other female character for a while (didn't play any RPG either), but some years later, I played wow: when I created my first character, I knew that I will spend tons of hours looking at my character, so I had to really enjoy it.

After about half an hour looking at the different races, classes and sex, I created an elf female druid and enjoyed it for some months, before going to another server that was opening and create there a human blond paladin female. Most of my male reroll haven't get close to the 60/70 cap, so I can say that I prefer to play some good looking female rather than a terminator / musclor looking male (casters don't have to look as strong).

I played about a year in Vanguard and played a high elve female bloodmage as my main character, but I was disapointed because female are not especially good looking in this game (not talking about ****s, just that they have about no feminity, including in their animations, they are looking like robots...)

On RFOnline and L2 some female characters were especially good looking (from sex bomb to cute girls) and it was hard not to play them

On Lotro I currently play 2 male and a female. Female aren't looking very good and their animation either, but the possibility offered by the game to play an old man is really great and I find the dwarves especially awesome and good looking.

I think that on Aion, about 3/4 of my character will be females because they look really great

I usually play characters that I feel I can attach to. That can be male or female. Case in point when I started GW, I made a necro because of these gothic dresses that I saw in Ascalon. Not to mention the male necros totally creeps me out. It's not just their looks, but also how they get seizures whenever they cast..

Anyway, here's a pic. Female necs also have one of the more tasteful cast animations, much better than the male counterpart.

I can play both male and female, depending on what fit best for the character I have in mind. For some role I prefer one gender over the other. I usually keep my real gender secret in guild chat because I do not feel it is relevent to know. Being a roleplayer it can sometime be hard to play the opposite gender. That is when people discover the truth

But so far I've never been discovered in my roleplay *chuckles*

Scary. I think this is exactly why people are bugged by the cross-gender issue in the first place.

MMO Rule #72632: All players are male unless stated otherwise.
MMO Rule #72633: Half of those stated otherwise are still male.

I had a friend lie to me for 2 years straight, claiming to be a female, before telling the truth and admitting to be a guy IRL. Said it was a lot easier to gain ppl's favor playing a female character.

Too bad usually in end-game situations you need to use voice-communication of some sort and that usually weeds out the pretenders

well I 'm a guy, but almost everytime I play with female chars.. and that is not for fouling other guys cos if they ask me.. i say i'm a guy, I play females cos I don't like 2 see males @$$3$ when i'm running, flying, fighting.. and also female armors r more good looking and sexy. the worst part and funny at the same time .. was in Perfect World.. where males could carry and kissing the females .. and they release me from the sky when I tell them i'm a guy

some1 got really frustrated after he kiss me and I told him I was a guy.. he really put a lot of work making me wanted 2 be carry around by him =)

people actually do that and get upset when ur a guy? hmmm think they take mmos abit to serious then

I spit laugh kiss drool etc etc at everyone female char or male char does not matter really.

Ontopic: It doesent really matter if a guy plays a female char or girl playes a male but I would never ever play a female character since they look like crap and males are the only char that looks cool.
