I'm pretty confident all OB data will not be erased and you will just be able to go on playing on retail with what you got from OB.

What makes you so confident of that? Though they did that with L2 "back in the days", the more recent titles from them have only had "head start" promotional offers, not OB accounts kept for retail. I believe that mixing OB with retail would be a mistake on their part.

I dunno, gut feeling. Besides, and all things considered, Aion seems to be the next big hit since Lineage 2 which tends to tell me history is gonna repeat itself. Aside from that, i don't really know and i don't really care whether it's wiped or not after OB. There'll be plenty of time to play anyway.

But it doesn't make much sense to have beta database on a retail version that was improved and it's the final product. I understand your point in comparing L2 with Aion, but politics back in Lineage were not that good and I really hope NCsoft comes with a new face for this project...

On the Korean site. You would need a KSSN to do it, which only Korean citizens are supposed to have.

And lemme just add to that, please don't go looking for one! Not that I would expect you to Eric, but this is to anyone who's looking to join the Korean beta. Using someone else's KSSN is considered identity theft!

ya when i first heard about the game i did look for one...found 2 and they both worked but sadly i couldnt get in cuz i cant read korean XD also the identity theft part is true, it said they will make you pay a fine of like 10,000,000 w/e there money is and i translated that... it was $10,000 usd

That only might happen if the original owner reclaim it, which is unlikely to happen when you are using a 80y old granny kssn, and they can't track you down either, so the worst scenario would be the deletion of your account.

Was that a statement or a confession? But I also hope to get into CB3. My good friend in Korea made me an account. He's not interested in Aion, so it worked out well I guess.
