Advanced Skills
Hi,
I wonder do the skills inflect all kind of conditions? (cripple, dazed, deep wound, bleeding etc.) I am a player PvP (and you are not a PvP player unless you have played PvP in Guild Wars). So whether the skills are similar to those of Guild Wars? Conditions were equally important (even more important) than the same Damage. Whit only condition you can take more than 50% of HP and you finish the opponent through pure damage. I noticed also that there are no such as hex's (curses). Maybe u know about it more? Whether the system will be similar to the one in Guild Wars? This idea about condition = damage was great. IDEA OF THE MONTH: - more condition, less pure damage! Sorry about my broken english ![]() Last edited by only; 05-27-2008 at 08:50 AM.. |

I don't know if the secondary effects that Aion spells will have the same properties you're refering to, but they do have conditions with them. Things like bleeds, stuns, knock downs, etc are added to a handful of different spells and abilities.
Edit: I'd probably suggest not saying people are not pvpers if they haven't played one specific game. You'll alienate the people you're trying to get help from.

The movies and skill descriptions you will find here will show some of these status effects.

you can trigger all kind of conditions using traps, if thats what you like, you should play ranger. (silence, dazed, posion, stun, etc), but ofc every class has skills like those.

but i think that some classes will have more restriction than others...e.g the warrior will only be able to stun and knock down i think. But it's a good thread for discussion... i am open to everything ![]()

There a bleeding, poison, blind, shock - non condition skills are: knock down, interrupt.
Conditions must have a greater impact than the pure damage. This gives more options in PvP. @DOWN, I have played Guild Wars - 2 and a half year, 75% time its Pvp. Last edited by only; 05-27-2008 at 02:18 PM.. |

GW? Pff... The fact that is all about "pvp" doesn't mean is a good pvp... Nothing like L2 imo, but, you're just limiting the discussion with that kind of statements, so please shut up if you want a decent thread.
What do you try to mean about "conditions"... status ailment? Well, of course there're going to be... magic classes have slow, root and poison I think... most warriors have bleed and stun... tanks and assassins have stun... and rangers have all. About blind, coma, paralysis, silence, etc. I haven't heard yet, but skills aren't fully disclosed. You should read the wiki and watch some videos. Oh.. I forgot to tell... Here in Aion there's a kind of knock-back which traps you in an electric ball in the middle of the air... (assassins and gladiators have it) and it allows party combos... as most classes have specific skills to "finish" a character in that condition.

Well then I guess your answer is no, after effects do not cause more damage than the actual skills.

And I'd imagine the initial damage would be more than the other dmg. |
