ur 1st reason sums it all up xD....yes it does take up a bit more resources like 20kbs more...you think thats going to crash anyones pc? no it wont and it does alot more if you want it to but is just as simple as vent.....i log in vent i set up my preferances for sound and push to talk done...i log into gc i set up my audio for push to talk done....so really there is nothing more complicated about gc over vent.

and at some point gc will be the norm

they have a mac client but who uses a mac to play mmo's 0_o ...most game makers never put out a mac version of there game lol

I honestly think it's just that people are too "used" to Vent to even give another program a chance. The old "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."

No one's trying to make you get rid of Vent or choose GC over Vent. It's just a SMALL program you can use FOR FREE for AionSource related activities. He's even offering Seperate channels for other games that those in the AionSource community might be BetaTesting together.

If you don't want to use it, that's fine and all... but why knock it and try to influence others against it? Just don't use it if you don't like it. Others using it won't have any negative effect on you.

Next to your questions without questionmarks - I do (did). The so far best (personal opinion) MMORPG with the most opened accounts (fact), WoW, had a Mac-Client from the very beginning, and now, the Mac Client is more advanced than the Windows-Version (ingame camera, iTunes integration etc.).

Ey, duuhhhhhddd... The size of the program does not neccessarily mean that it's a hog. It was written with the .NET Framework, so...

I think he was talking about Vent having a Mac client. I think.

Either way, you're being quite stubborn. If you don't like it then don't use it, I guess. I personally don't like Vent at all but I'm not complaining about it. Yet.
