The new Asmod wings will sure stop people from going over to Elyos just for their wings they look kick *** if you ask me. Anyone know what the new tweaks to the Elyos look like? I wonder what new character customizations they have. I don't know about you guys but I always take forever to make my chars...i like them to be as unique and "me" as possible :P

It'd be cool if they we're equally as beautiful for Asmods and Elyos but so different or unique in their own way. Do you guys think they will let you choose certain colors for the wings?

yes one of the devs posted that there will be dyes for wings and different styles avalible and they will be "tradeable"

The colors of the wings are subject to customization. Basically, what I/we know for sure, is that there will be different kinds of wings available and that they can be altered by the use of color potions. Another interesting thing about wings is that they can actually be traded between players. More info after the break.

I hope the shapes of the wings for the two races are different enough. Because, if the only thing really distinguishing them from each other is whether the wings are black or white, and there are wing dyes available, they might just end up looking too much like each other. (unless the dyes only color a part of the wing leaving the main color still visible)

Old asmo wings were my sole reason for not wanting to play them...It would be cool if the new elyos wings had a white glow on them.

Remember that 90% of the time, PvP will be ground bases. There is only a 1 minute flight timer, so while people will use the wings, you won't be able to just say "Black wings, Asmodian!" You'll have to find other ways to distinguish an enemy. Like if someone comes up and starts cutting you, they're probably trying to kill you.

This will make for an interesting PvP tactic. I mean you'll actually have to look and pay attention it wont be like WoW OMG OGRE COMING!

A lot of people weren't playing asmo because of the lame bat wings. But the way it is now, it looks freakin' awesome! They are absolutely gorgeous but let's not rush into decisions... I bet NCsoft is also working on new Elyos wings. Can't wait to see them!

But based from another thread, it seems like there's about the same amount of people leaving Asmodian for Elyos because of the wings as well. It doesn't really seem to make a difference either way even if they changed it.

If you can actually change the color of the wings, then you can look like the opposing faction (as far as wings are concerned). Doesn't that kind of only leave the skin color (and probably claws) to distinguish between the two? I understand that distinguishing your opponent from the looks of wings aren't an ideal way to tell, but I don't see why they have more or less the same wings. May as well start them with the same default wings/colors at this point.

Yes, those asm wings look smexy! But, naah, they don't attract me as much as nice and pleasant Elyos scenery. I just love too much those lovely colors.

Just thinking out loud here, but wouldn't asymmetrical wings make flying difficult?

Not played WoW before? I think you mean Orc/Troll.

Anyways, customizable is good. CoH did this well, too bad the game itself was about as fun as a haircut.
