Class choices within each faction

i wouldn't mind seeing more people vote on this but right now it seems templar is a little low... or maybe people just dont want to tank i dont know haha i hope tanking is as much fun in this game as others... haven't seen too many vids of it

ORLY, I own that movie, but I haven't seen it in like a year. I wonder why it's black in that one though... I know that in Crysis Core, Genesis Has 1 Black wing, but wasn't Sephiroth's wing white?

I'm going Asmo because my friends refuse to go Elyos, but I really want us to play together, so... u_u (But I'll still play Elyos on another server, just not on the main one.)

Anyways, getting back on topic, I've noticed that Spiritmaster is unpopular, too. Maybe it's because once you get away from their summons, they can't do much/don't have much. But that's just my opinion. ^^;

Im going for a Elyos Templar, mainly because i always play the tanking classes in an MMO. My only problem ist that all my friends want to play as Asmodians, but i try to convince them not to.

Duno why elyos spiritmaster is so low...
Apparently they get very powerful at high levels so i thought a few more would go for them :S

The high amount of asmodian assasins doesn't suprise me but on the subject of some classes looking more typical of one race (like elyos cleric), the reletive obscurity/oddity of an evil looking cleric kinda appeals to me. (though i still can't bring myself to make a final decision on race yet).

Me im all about DPS. The only caster I ever played was a necromancer on Guild Wars, raising the dead is just too much fun! In WoW my primary is the Rogue.

Ranger or Assassin first. Spiritmaster or Chanter later.

My MMO experiences come from WoW and Guild Wars. Neither game has a class that resembles a Spiritmaster, so to me and maybe many others its more or less a new concept, its something people are not familiar with. So instead of trying it on for size they go back to the familiar.

Warlock from WoW is a SM and you could say ritualist resembles a spirit master.

Agreed. Neither the Warlock or Ritualist can control their creations compared to what it seems a Spiritmaster can do. And a Ritualist is a spirit master but not a Spiritmaster. If that makes any sense lol. How many creations can a Spiritmaster control at once?

well putting looks aside as far as i can see and this is just my opinion and am not bashing anyone but what jumps out at me is that this game is taking a sort of dont judge a book by it's cover type of go at this, firstly their are no real good or bad guys neither faction is good or bad but the game initialy puts you in the mind set that elyos are good and just where as asmodians are untrustworthy and wrong the angels vrs. demons so to speak

but from reading the discriptions on each the eylos refer to themselves as blessed kind generous but arrogant

so the elyos are a very proud race who believe that aion loves them and hates the asmodians seem to be very self centered in this respect and think of themselves as superior

where as you go over to the asmodians:
they use the word retribution in the last quote retribution isnt usualy thrown around unless its for something along the lines of overthrowing oppression they also dont seem to be bashing the elyos at all and they even say if it is war they crave it is war they shall have which sounds more like the elyos started the war thinking to cleanse this (broken world of the Asmodians that now infest it)

anyway this is just my opinion but from what i`ve seen so far the asmodians look like a misunderstood race that are actually a lot morally better then one would think from first glance, perhaps better then the elyos and yes i will take into account the description at the beginning of the elyos being attacked by the asmodians a) im sure this has happened to the asmodians so many times it wasent worth mentioning in the diary and b) the whole running away and letting your comrades die thing isn't something an asmodian would do :P ( they would sooner give their life in battle than to see that of a comrade taken from them. )`

well in any case this has been a very long message, sorry about that just wanted to give some food for thought about which faction you really want to go with and other people may have interpreted things in the complete opposite of how i have and i accept that, just think about it.

It looks like the Asmodians are more even than the Elyos on the class spread. Looks like the Elyos are going to have a lot of Gladiator centric groups, while the Asmodians are going to be more of the Assassin breed.
