Ability to change race/gender?

But as for class/race/gender changing, no it just wouldn't make sense financially for the company or story wise for the people who care about that.

I never even thought about this topic lorewise, and it makes even more sense to to be able to do it. And yes, I think the creation of another character is ALMOST pointless, unless you want a new class.

yeah who's to say once you become a master of another class you cant start to learn another..it only makes sense.

So I went through this whole thread now and I see there is no way to convince you that it just isn't going to happen. There are too many people against the idea and they are going to appeal to the masses because they don't want to turn away the majority of their players because the majority is more money. And they will get more money from all of the people who don't put any thought into what they want and have to reroll. Thats why WoW has made SO much money the fact that you have to reroll if you want anything other than the character you created means u spend more time in the game paying them more money.

As I said before I'm all for changing hair style/color and tattoos/piercings.

Just because it is a magical universe doesn't mean you can throw a magical excuse at it and say that it fits into the game.
Think about what you are creating while you create it and you will be fine... If not then reroll.

If NCsoft is in this for the money which every company is they will not do this. If they do (which I sincerely hope they don't) they will probably make it cost real money or a TON of in game money so you have to farm for a while to do it.

You spend an identical amount of time leveling up your sub as you do rerolling, the difference is you keep the same name, appearance, character, clan spot, reputation, etc...

However if you are talking about being able to change Race/Class without having to level up that new selection, then I agree completely. Gender/appearance changes are another thing, appearance should be allowed in game, gender through a donation, or just not have it entirely, but having a donation option for it isnt going to scare people away from the game, it will just give the company some more money.

In my previous post I said I wasn't against changing your subclass that would be fine. It would make them a little more like a "spec" in WoW (which some people may not want) where you can change whichever you are for an in-game price.

Well I dun realy aggree with the moust of u xD. Changing race i vote for no on that part, but changing gender ai'nt a porobleme with me. I (moustly I don't say always) pick a female char as a main, lol ya I know, but then u see the armors are cooler on the other Sex so why not go to the NPC and change it boom u look cool to lol. However I won't be able to do it cause the name xP...

Sex change is a bit.. Extreme '-';...
Pretty much what everyone else is saying.
Hairstyle and accessories change would be preferrable though.
Sex change is just.. changing your character into some other person. I just don't like it.
If for example you created 'Cassandra'- a brown haired, pale young Elyos with some kind of sweet aura emitting from her.
And then you suddenly change her into some random Asmodian dude and ruin her entire image :/
It just seems kinda.. Wrong ^^;

As stated earlier, it is infinitely times better to put all the resources and employees in working on more content, story, polishing up, and debugging, which would have greater impact on ten thousand or more customers, than something like gender change which at the very most affect a mere dozen customers.
