Ability to change race/gender?
Ok well my first big mmo was Runescape, mock it all you want however I was young and It's actually not a bad game lol
In Runescape there was a npc mage you could talk to and he could change your physical appearance in any shape or form, give him a bit of gold and bam you could change everything from hair color/style to gender, Playing Runescape for such a long time as a youngster I got used to changing my features when ever I felt like it. My next big mmo was Guild Wars, those who play Guild Wars would know that you can create a pvp character who starts at max level/gear/skills and you can make it look however you want. In short you can see iv become accustomed to changing my appearance whenever I want. My next big mmo was WoW, I am still playing it however this sort of feature is not available in WoW. So here I am with 4 max level characters and a few on the way and I'm not happy with the way any of them look, in the upcoming expansion (Wrath of the Lich King) Blizzard plans to put hair dressers in every major city, they have taken a step in the right direction but in my opinion this is not enough. These are magical/mystical/fantasy mmo's after all, how hard is it to put in a npc that can 'magically' change the appearance of your character? Now comes the annoying part, I love the way female elyos look, absolutely gorgeous however male elyos look very heroic and junk in armor >< OH WAIT THERES MORE! Asmodian females also look gorgeous in a weird way, they have really tickled my fancy with those red eyes and tails etc so I was thinking of rolling one... but like... asmodian males look pretty cool too >_> So I find myself in a bit of a pickle, To be honest I wouldn't mind having all 4 however, how hard is it going to be to level to max? Appearance changes is a good idea, sexchange and racechange is not.
who would want to change from cool looking asmo/elyos male to "not so cool" looking female elyos/asmo anyway! |

fraction change and/or race had been don before in other games due to luck of experience in picking ur own type of class and wanted other class / or guild (from other fraction) when ur lvl is pretty high. Doing this needs a lot of sacrifices (money or w.e.) .. not not actually agree with this. But sex change? why ?oh why? some1 will wana do this after u already had ur choice at the begging of game...

I think appearance changing is..well...necessary. Being a GuildWars Mesmer player armors prove to look good or bad with a certain appearance. So why not change that.
However sex and race...well i find it unnecessary and too time consuming for our devs. You wanna roll an opposing faction toon? Change the server, roll one and there you have it. |

Thats such a stupid feature. Where is the point in changing race or sex everytime you want? Thats not the reason why we play an MMOG ^^
I don`t need it because i will never play a female character. |

I would love to be able to change most physical attributes, it's kind of what made CoH so fun because if you didn't like the costume you started with, no biggie, just pay a fee and make a new one. After playing WoW for 3 years or so, having to see the same hairstyle/color gets rather boring. I can even understand if they decided that the facial structure or color of your skin couldn't be changed, but hair color and styles should be able to be changed. Perhaps it's not something to be implemented at release, but hopefully not soon after.

Doesnt make any sense this char changing, to me.
Hair change is enouph. Spend all the time u want to creat ur char.... after that, he should be like he borns forever. Thats why i create several ones at start, and play until lvl15, 20 befor decide wich will be the "final version" ![]()
