The Abyss Weapons

While watching a few movies, you can see the weapons flashing multicolours, and I assume that they are top tier abyss weapons. Alot of people weren't expecting such a strange sight on their weapons, though it's not as bad as many think it is. What do you guys think of them? Were you expecting something more traditional medieval? Or is the "alien" look suit Aion better?

They look cool, Im already tired of the medieval setting in high fantasy games, Aion's world has that kind of glowing technology everywhere, it "fits".

I really like the idea of the particle effects, and if nothing else I like what they've done.... but I think they could do a better job on it...

I love the glowing effects but...i wish they had a certain color cycles for certain weapons instead of being all "rainbowy"
i mean how can you take a Gladiator seriously when it looks like his sword has skittles on it?

Edit: Maybe by dyeing it you can choose which colors it cycles through or appear

I like the glow...it is yet another thing that makes this game *different and unique* from the others.

Oh, and these pictures beg to say that there's some way to change weapon color...

they look really good to me, i think they make the weapons look more interesting and look a little bit more powerful. kinda like they're giving off more power, in a manner of speaking.

If a wep had only 1 glowing color (and this could only be changed by manually replacing the old color with the new one), its okay, but flashing with different colors (from 4:59 in the Explore vid) in combat stance is disgusting and horrible.

I really, really hope they will change that.

Lol yes, it's a disco with that music. And I don't believe you can choose 1 set colour; all you nee to do is take the screenshot at the right moment. We don't know for sure though.
