Weather Affecting Spells

While i was browsing the net about Aion I came across a nice effect ive found out in the game from an E3 interview, thought id share it with you guys (and gals) as i found it quite an interesting.

"Weather effects are also available in the game, and these can have a real effect on gameplay--using fire-based attacks in a driving rain, for example, won't be as effective, while using water-based attacks in the same type of weather can make those spells even stronger."

This could make a good turning point within some battles and makes the game that little more interesting, another good way of bringing tactical fighting depending on the weather condition.

Amby.

Hmm sounds very interesting, got a link to that e3 interview. if this were to be in the game i hope that class's other than Spell casters would have an advantage or disadvantage with different weather, maybe long range attacks at night have a higher chance of missing, maybe attack speed in heavy rain will be slowed, not sure of what advantages there could be but maybe higher chance of hitting long range when its a clear day and maybe depending on race and wether u are good or evil a higher dmg output depending on what type of weather it is.

Which leads to the eventual discussion that there might be a nature-based class that can "summon" weather effects to a party's advantage or, if opposing another player-driven party with a character of said type, the two battle to offset each other while the rest fight...
