"Flaming" Aion

I'm guessing a lot of you go to sites like gametrailers and watch the trailers and videos-even youtube sometimes. And my guess is that you also like to read the comments, to see what other people write and think of Aion. There's a LOT of people who express interest in Aion, but there are also a lot of people who show narrow mindedness-and even rascism (IE I don't want my character to look like a dirty jap). Now my question is, how do you respond to both the flamers and the people expressing curiosity.

For myself, when I read comments like- "it's just another typical asian grinder, pretty but no substance" I just wanna type a frickin essay telling the poster how wrong he is. On the other hand, do I really want someone so closed minded playing AIon with me?(no) Usually, I try to keep replies(when I do reply) succinct and to the point.

Actually you can say what ever you want to them, they are too stubborn and even won't accept facts. They base all things on their bad experience, so don't even bother. Narrow mind is a curse.

Why they are doing that? This is the answer: They're trying to protect the game they're spending alot of their lifetime on giving other alternatives a low value, because they don't want to change to a game that could be better than theirs and "lose" their character and all their stuff (which they think is the most important in a MMORPG) they've been archieving in the game they're currently playing by admitting that another game could be just as good or even better than theirs and maybe (oh my god) even to have in contemplation to be changing to another game. They're not doing it, because they wanted a fair discussion to begin with and if you ask them for that, they'd either make up a completed ****ed up one or just run away. It's just a very common, but stupid reaction. You wont change that anyhow, as most people are as stupid as that and those who are never had the intention to change it. The best you can do is, as someone has already stated, just to ignore it and not do it yourself. Trust me, the best you can do is to do nothing, as it's just like kids screaming to get whatever they want, even if it doesn't make sense. If you answer them, you're just giving them the lollipop they wanted.

Maybe, by reading this post some people have been convinced. Or by typing this sentence, they're just being stubborn over someone being more right than they are, which they just wont accept (cause people just want their lollipop, can't do anything about that - doesn't matter who's right and who's not). That could also be a possibility and is probably the one having the highest probability.
Maybe by calling this a theory, they could be drawn into a reasonable discussion, but that would mean alot of work to me alone (by most people in this forum getting me wrong and not assisting my theory - the usual), which is why I'm rather calling this a fact for now.


EDIT: Oh and, no, I mostly don't really "like" to read youtube comments. It's something you can't avoid at times, but if I did read them by some miracle (someone scares me from behind and I accidently scrolled down), I always remember why I shouldn't have done that.

Indeed. Most of the time, they're just posting comments like that so they can get a reaction out of people who find a genuine interest in the thing in which they are slandering. Replying is exactly what they want you to do. Hell, sometimes people who post negative things about Aion are probably well informed on what the game offers. They just don't like it (or don't want to) and post misleading information that contradicts what they already know, coming off as ignorant.

I stopped reading right there. Youtube and GT are the worse communities on the internet, I think 4chan is better than both of them, I do not read comments unless I think the video is terrible. I just ignore them and go on my merry way. Most people who make those comments are adolescent fanboys who want attention.

The thing is that these people don't really care about the game at all, they just want to get people to react, that's why they're called trolls. If they were really interested, they would go look up the information themselves and besides, you're doing us all a favor by NOT responding, I don't want someone like that playing the game. Although idiots are inevitable, it's one less to deal with.
