Will Aion use GameGuard?

I hope that Aion will not use GameGuard, because it really doesn't do anything except mess things up. I tried playing Lineage 2 on my G15 Keyboard today and every time I would load up L2 it would crash my G15 Keyboard Profiler therefore not letting me use my G15 to the fullest extent that it is capable. It seems that gameGuard causes more problems than its actually worth. just my opinion though

I think NCsoft is probably going to do something different for Aion. At least, I hope they do. It wouldn't seem right if they just dragged something half-dead out of the closet and used it for their new baby. Makes little sense.

The only games i have come across with game guard or some other type are bad or crap mmo.Hope they don't use any type of program like that

GameGuard sucks. It patches the running kernel to hide processes and tends to kill things it doesn't like...things it shouldn't kill like bluetooth stacks and it only works with 32-bit XP. Most games play fine in XP x64 but then a dev adds something like GameGuard and you can no longer play the game. I tried running another NCSoft game using GameGuard on XP x64 and it killed a bunch of running processes that it shouldn't have, simple things like the driver for my UPS. I have nothing but loathing for rootkits, especially ones like GameGuard.

Yeah I hope they dont use GameGuard on AION, I didnt have any major problems with it, but I just dont like it and I dont think its necessary

i crappy security prgram the run in the background. tipically from koreans games.

screw up lot of things in you r OS ( firewalls, and any programs runnign such logitech progs for G15)

it actually cuz more troubles in most of the systems than it solves.

Why do people feel that they have the right to put that type of stuff on your machine? Yes, I understand that people are 'technically' doing it by choice, but they don't know what it is before they install it... and then things just magically begin to die on their PC.

I believe NCsoft knows that they shouldn't use GG. I'm absolutely positive they won't.

NO GAMEGUARD!!!!! It is soooo easy for hackers to bypass....and makes a fuss about little things >.>. rawr.
