Stigmas are being reworked at 1.5patch. There will be 8 total, 5 usual and 3 advanced, which can work like skill chains. You can also put the usual stigmas into advanced slots etc. Should add quite a bit of diversity to end game tempaltes.

so ive been looking at the weapons and i dont understand why the two handers do less than half the damage of the one handers when the one handers have such a higher crit modifier and theres no modifier for dual wielding and the damage range isnt affecting the skills. i dont see any point in taking a 2 hander if you want to do decent damage, i see videos of 3-4k nukes from mages and glads topping out at 1200 with 2 handers. What gives?

Even if it is the case that attack speed and crit come from the mh only theres a ton of other stats on those new 1.5 weapons. What about accuracy, magic resist, etc.
Lets look at some numbers to show how strange this is. For example, the 2h sword is clearly superior to the 2h pole by a whopping 12 dps. Polearm: range - 251-467 speed - 2.8 dps - 128.21 greatsword: 329-347 2.4 140.83 Thats not right, those weapons are the same "ilevel" wtf? A smaller but still noticeable disparity exists between the 1 handers, the dagger has 3 more dps than the sword but much more surprising than this, if you run the dps on the one handers youll find they are THE SAME AS THE 2 HANDED POLE! WAT? 1h sword 161-197 1.4 speed dps: 127.85 dagger 148-164 1.2 speed dps: 130 HUH? the dagger has a higher dps than the polearm? how the nyerk does that work? youd get ANOTHER dagger on top of that making the white damage dps near DOUBLE that of a 2 hander. Add the stat disparity (and socket disparity) and you get: why why why why why?! Last edited by yoritomo; 07-07-2009 at 04:20 PM.. |

Quote:
The advantage of the polearm is having more crit, as a critical hit with a two handed weapon causes a stumble. Two handed weapons also have large AoE attacks. Single handed weapons while faster, have no adverse effects with their criticals. So normal dps without taking any effects, and skill damage into account is kind of pointless. |

meh. if i wanted to dual wield i'd be an assassin.
it's nice that it's an option though, but 2h should be the main focus of this class. i'll not trade 1/2 damage on skills and no aoe for more auto attack. __________________ "Hey everybody look at me!
