There is -very- little skill required to pvp in an MMORPG.

Until we're forced to aim a shot, it's no skill lol.


Its time, organisation, timing and knowledge. Like you say, knowing your enemies class inside out, just an advantage through knowledge, not skill.

and have team m8's to back u up..

i played TR in beta and live and after 4 weeks i maxed out the spy class ( lvl 50 ).

they could kil any thing in 1 hit, mostly taking just 2 hits..

i played linaege2 when daggers ruled, killed tanks with 1 hit..

i just hope they balance the game out before they bring it out, getting used to stuff and then get it nerfed after sucks.

NCsoft are major archer/dagger fanboys, they always make those 2 overpowered.

That was what I loved about glads in L2, they had their swords and skills, didnt have to rely on anything except your own skill to beat someone (i've never heard of a glad switching weapons to stun someone)...I dont want to have to depend on a charge or stun landing like WoW...it leads to RPS. Plus a decent gladiator in L2 should be able to kill 2 or 3 daggers on their own, but 2 daggers that really know what theyre doing can make a glad almost usless, they can interrupt every big skill.

And daggers used to take no skill where you just mashed skills on someone, and i guess they dont now with the new skills, but there was a brief time when they actually did, when you had to do trick/switch/bluff and worry about getting behind and not facestabbing.

Well after playing both a War on WoW and a Glad on L2 for a long time, I enjoy the glad in L2 much more, war in WoW is just charge/hamstring/intercept, if those arent working you're toast.

hehe calindor i can feel your passion for l2s' gladiator every time i read one of your posts yeah i agree in l2 to play a gladiator required some skill because you had to know when to charge focus and when to hit with simple hits...thank god they disabled overcharged hits ^^ lol charging 7 focus and than loosing them after one triple sonic slash (in c4) and than charging again was really horible but it was also more of a chalange but now we have enbough focus for one triple sonic slash and a sonic blaster


I do also agree that many classes in mmo's do not require skill and this makes me sad but i can't think now of a way to implement a players skill in mmo's unless they become first person.

Well a tank must die from at least 1 class, there will be no class no class can kill...

soo I dont see whats so wrong about an assassin killing a tank...

for those complaining about hide being bad in Aion, they said that they are giving assassins another 2 skills some strike(forgot) and master hide...so just wait and see for master hide...

I tryed also so many times to explain this and the fact that sins mst have a better surviving abilities in PvP with a tanker.. but they will never understand this and they will always complain about it. this is the curse of assassin.. hard to be understood

but I like how u put the words

keep in mind he's quoting L2 from about 3-4 years ago when it was a different game. A tank can kill 5 dagger now.

? We are just talking about the scenario if in this game an assassin kills a tank and people are spazzing out like zomg no omfg that will never happen adakdjalkdada!!!


A tank will die from 1 class(or more) so why does it matter if its an assassin or a chanter or a ranger or w/e

Why tanks should die? the whole idea of a tank is precisely not dieing O.o You leave him until the end and then you use lots of people to get him down...

Daggers killing Tanks in L2 was just ridiculous, glad they fixed that.
