As Calindor said, its most likely balanced.
There is no reason to put the option of dual wielding if it is inferior to 2her.

Was going to ask a question on the same lines? Do we know if these monsters are the same lvl?

Wow, both of those videos looked pretty sweet. I've always been a fan of dual-wielding, but I loved the animations in the 2h video and that is why I will more than likely do the 2h weapons.
On a side note, I wonder if the 2 1h weapon approach will be more effective on single targets while the 2h weapons will allow you to do some more AoE damage. Say someone with 2 1h swords can clean up a mob in a short period of time and move on to the next one, maybe someone with a 2h weapon will have "sweeping" abilities that will allow you to hit more than one target if they're in range of your character. All in all, I'll have to do some thinking on this. Lord knows I have a lot of time to do it.

I timed each of the 4 fights and compared, and the times were within 1-2seconds of each other, with the 2H winning the first mob he faced, and the Duals winning the 2nd mob.
Then again, they were different mobs so we can't be sure they are the same level, BUT we know they are within 1-3 levels of one another and so both of these builds are pretty even~ |

Definitely interesting. Its a good thing they took into affect the weight.
One handed weapons definatly do attack slower, but seem to do much more damage. two 1 handed weapons for me!

im hoping this will be just like the difference between a fury (dual wield) warrior and an arms (big nasty 2h) warrior in wow.
the dual wield would quickly outpace the 2h in long sustained pve encounters, but the 2h was the burst damage and aoe you needed in group pvp. and arms warriors were still useful on pve raids... with the proper group setup he could easily be top 10 damage. fury (dual wield) warrior in pvp was so easy a rogue could end it fast. |

the 2h poleaxe is a bit slow and has a variation larger betwen min and max dmg most of the time your doing none crits while the 2h sword is a bit faster of a pole and do a lot more crits with a small variation betwen min and max damage IMO the 2h sword is better for PvE but i didnt pvp anytime yet, for AOE you'd prefer the big poleaxe with a huge damage more damage the better it is! so gladiator are going to do a shitload of damage with AOE skills using 2h pole's...

Now, this is not to say that the 2h Sword is bad and the Halberd is the best... what can be taken from this is that the 2h Sword is actually more suited for PvP than PvE due to the sheer speed. White damage does count and the more you get in on your opponent the better. I've not had the chance yet to fully test the effectiveness of the 2h Sword vs Halberd in PvP yet but I plan to before KOBT is over. When I get some more information I'll let you guys know.
