I don't play WoW homie, You do. Why'd you post in this thread if you didn't care. You're logic is flawed aswell, Did I say I won't play because gladiators have mana? No, I just came at it with anger because I haven't played the game.

All I can say is; Big deal.
I'm don't care if my 'blue' bar has the word Mana, MP, Adrenaline, Rage, Orgasm or anything in it. And I'm sure they'll balance and tweak it enough for every class to be playable for everyone, theres a reason that they've been working on Aion since god knows when. |

Im sort of happy about this. I like Having my Stat points allocated for me. i know that seems lazy but in the beginning it relieves a lot of confusion.

In GW all characters use energy, wile a few physical classes also use adrenaline to mix things up with an alternate form of skill generation. Warrior and Paragon had less energy than all the other classes... Wile having alternate forms of skill generation was interesting, in one way or another, skills should be limited, casters don't want to be in between skills all the time either, so having a relavent limitation on ability use of any kind, wile not being too restricting, is important.

gladiators are supposed to use mana, plain and simple. I play lineage 2, and thats there downfall, is running out of mana.

I don't really care which system they use as long as a caster doesn't level at the rate it does in L2 vs a melee class. That is totally unbalanced. Then again, death to the eternal grind game. Content is superior to grind zones and I hope to God that is realized in Aion.
I'm more weary of the pot spamming game than anything else though. It's ridiculous how much you had to pot up in order to stay alive or even maintain fun. As much as I dislike food it sure beats sitting on your *** for 10 min to regen like in L2. I think these two things are the direct result of bad implementation of a mana/rage/stamina system and cause people to quit and watch paint dry over watching their character sit on their ***. No matter what they do as long as it keeps the player engaged and fighting at a reasonable pace then I don't think any one of us are REALLY going to care. We just don't another epic fail that is Lineage 2. |

It isnt as retarded as it sounds, but its personal preference really. In most pve situations there is a fastest way to kill. Once you have that down it becomes almost automatic. So whether youre mashing button combos in wow or sitting back right clicking the party leader in l2 youre still not really "thinking about it".
The whole point of skills having a cost, and you paying that cost from a limited supply with a set regeneration rate is to offer two options for doing damage. You can either use skills at the same rate you regen your supply of mana/energy or you can spam the hell ouut of your skills and run out. And really, it doesnt matter, because whatever system the devs put into a game, they balanced that system to provide your class with balanced dps, or healing, or whatever. It doesnt matter what the system is as long as it is consistent to each class and doesnt make one overpowered.
