Poll: Another Proposal for Claim System AND Abyss System

Regarding the Claim System:
I think the claim system in AION should be like FFXI. The person who hits it first should get the mob/exp/loot/etc. Make it where if you don't do consistent and steady damage or Dot per Second (for mage or ranged attackers), the mob should go unclaimed as well as the loot/exp etc, also it should go unclaimed when you die. This would make it good for both melee and mages/ranged attackers so noone really has an upper-hand at mobs etc.

Regarding the Abyss:
Since everyone brought up the issues with claim system in AION, people complained about how a claim system would ruin the Abyss. I have a solution for this: Make the Abyss not only Elyos VS Asmodians, but also legions against legions as well. So, if one legions claims a boss mob and does consistent damage or w/e, if the other legion believes they are stronger, they can attack this legion and take the mob for themselves. (Which in my opinion would solve the issues against claim system AND make the Abyss more competitive and interesting). Also, make it where you can't attack your own group/alliance/legion mates. Also I heard there's some stupid language barrier between the different races, please also remove this. What's the point of it?

I made this idea since people complained that if AION had a claim system it would make things "not playable" during Abyss. And what's the point of having competitive legions in the same race if you can't pk them to take the boss from them etc?

You added pork to your bill. You've got no option for what I believe the majority of the people would pick "mod the mob claim system, leave the abyss". I personally think the claim system should be changed so that people don't get xp stolen away from them as it is currently. I don't agree with your abyss suggestion though I can understand where you're coming from. Actually regarding the claim system. I see no reason to have it any different than the majority of MMOs out there. When someone tags a mob it should be tagged, period. There's nothing wrong w/ that system unless you want to argue that characters with AOE DOTS could have an advantage (const spamming).

I agree with you, bots have advantage as well as people who are just rude and want to steal your mob for the hell of it etc. I hate it a lot.

The FFXI claim system was built around NM claiming and so on, I don't think it would fit in Aion. The system WoW uses would probably fit better for this game (you can attack any creature, but whomever attacked it first gets all the loot and exp), although I do understand if NCSoft intended to prevent players from AoE or DoT tagging.

I don't have any personal experience with the Abyss yet, so I have no opinion on that.
