This Just In: Your Opinion Does Not Matter!
I know some of you are very optimistic. That is fine. However, I draw the line when you become too naive and gullible. Here's something shocking to those who think that changes will be made on YOUR (the N.A. audience) opinion: It won't be! Changes are made around the Korean audience as they are smarter and much more massive in population size than the U.S. audience.
So, do you see all of the things that are bugging you in game right now? Well, unless the Koreans have complained about it, it will stay that way. There is no changing based on your perspective. The only thing the NCwest team will do is "localization" (ie: translations) and bringing you news about changes and patches. That. is. all. Please don't think that you can change this game from voicing your opinion or griping about certain things. This is not the WoW developers we're talking about here. These are overseas developers who cater to their intended audience and you are, in fact, just a side audience. Imagine a parent that buys the older child all the newer clothes. Then, when the child outgrows those clothes, they are handed down to a younger child that gets no say. The Koreans are the older child. You are the younger child. Do I make myself clear? __________________ Templar on Siel. 'nuff said. |

Smart doesn't equal alienating your future playerbase, so I think you'd be wrong there.

I thought this may have been a marginally interesting discussion, till the OP generalized asians; being the predominantly more intelligent part of humanity...

Actually, OP is correct. NCwest can pass along suggestions made from the NA/EU players, but only the Korean devs can make the changes. Historically, they make changes based on Korean player feedback. That may change with Aion, but probably not.

Your right in everything about your post but the only thing its not true is that they are smarter looooool.Thats funny.
Tell me one inventor that changed the world than compare it to EU/US than laugh your a.. off ).But about our the EU/US opinion will change anything or not your right but they will still gather our opinions and send it there , because if they dont deliver with changes that NCWest ask than they will fail in EU/US. No worries after launch we will be heard. EU - PRo Guild recrutiing |

I think the OP is largely correct.
However - if EVERYONE is loudly opposing something (such as an overpowered skill that is just waaaay too rediculous for example) then NCWest will let the eastern developers know about it. Look at it as if the devs get 80% of their constructive feedback from the Eastern market audience - to which they make actual game changes...and about 20% from the western market. It isnt due to the population size or anything - it is just where the company is based - and the fact that most things will have to be translated and relayed onto the eastern team BUT GUYS PLEASE! please do not think this structure designates fail. WoW (I hate to mention it but everyone knows what it is) is based for a western audience - yet it is extremely popular to the eastern market - even though they have the 80%/20% structure also! By all means - keep voicing your opinions - if enough people share the same complaint - NCwest will likely send it over to eastern HQ to have another look at it. |
