Acquiring Gear

Hey,

I use to play Lineage2 with my friends, and one of the main things we hated about the game was talking to merchants and seeing every piece of gear we would be using for the next 40++ levels. I was wondering is that how most people get gear or is it acquired through questing/drops; Also, how difficult is it to make money in Aion and exactly how rare are item drops from mobs? Thanks.

Sorry to be a bit off topic, but what gear in L2 did you wear for 40+ levels that you could buy from a vendor?

Regardless, your Mob drop rates link told me absolutely nothing; nor did your smart-* ** friend. So the questions still stand. What are the average mob drop rates on items and money and am I going to be buying most of gear from a lame merchant? Can I get a personal actually in beta to answer instead of someone who knows nothing on the topic. Thanks.

I understand mobs drop loot and merchants sell items, but am I going to be buying most of my armor and weapons from merchants or will I be able to go quest and kill mobs to get gear?

Meh, there is no NA beta that we're all in. We don't know the drop rates and I doubt anyone in the Korean beta has gone through the extensive math to figure it out.

Learn to use the ****ing search feature. No one asked you to read every single thread. It took me a total of 1 minute to find the answer.

The Beta testers said that the gear from the vendors are decent and more usable unlike WoW where they are junk. But most of the good gear will be from Drops, Abyss, and by Crafting. Atleast I think thats what they said =0
