2009?

I couldnt help but notice various rumors escalating of a possible aion release in q1 of 2009. I personally have found no concrete evidence of such hearsay; i.e. a direct quote from an arenanet source, distribution site etc. I've come to terms with the notion that these statements for release may fall under the predictions category. In someways i doubt that ncsoft "patrols" prerelease forums, but lets not entice them into thinking their lack of time management is in anyway acceptable. However through vigorous google searching lol, i was able to uncover a site that lists an exact date of release -

Are you speaking of GW2 or Aion? Aion is being developed by NCSoft, not ArenaNet. I don't think there's any official release date for either though. All release dates posted are most likely speculations.

I really wouldn't count on a release date until you hear something from NCsoft on this as it is still in Beta and could be for sometime, you'll probably get a more accurate release date when/if we get a NA/EUR beta testing, plus I know the guys here will post something when it becomes official

Regarding Aion's date...I'm expect a 2009 release date now. I find it difficult to believe that they'll be able to run another Korean CBT, as well as make our CB (if we have one) and OB, as well as release the game in this time frame =(...Sad to hear I know.

Considering the fact there is no ETA on CBT 3 starting I'm suspecting release ( mind you : release ) won't happen before Q2 2009 for NA/EU .That is for AION, for GW 2 I'm not expecting release before 2010 .

Just gotta keep hoping that dev's are successful with their processes, otherwise it may get pushed into 2009. As Ayase said a week ago or so, the Dev's are up to their ears at the moment trying to ensure a timely release, but you know there are thousands of bumps in the road that can slow that down, unfortunately >.>

No, no no no. Don't say such vile and evil words in the presence of Aionsource. Hope for a release in 2008. I do not think I can keep playing DnD games until then. It WILL release this year ( That is right NCsoft, release or I go EMO!). Ok, maybe I won't go emo... that is not cool... But I will go cry in a corner... well, maybe not... But I will be very sad if it is not released this year. Ok, I'm done.

I always expected a Q1 2009 release date. It would actually suprise me if it didn't release in Q1 2009.

Until then, I am thinking of joining in PSU again. It seems they have remade all the levels from PSO now and put them in! w00t!

Arenanet works on the Guild Wars games, and is branch off of NCsoft. NCsoft is currently working on Aion.

On topic, I always thought that Aion would be a late Q1 or early Q2 2009 release. As for Guild Wars 2, probably somewhere in 2010.

I think first priority is first, the quality and success of the game. Since they have been neglecting NA marketing it is a pretty sure sign things are being pushed back, afterall, they have to compete with the release of AoC and War this year, and also steal some of their ideas if their smart. But most of all, they probably need some finishing touches to increase the seperatation and superiority of this game over others, I just hope we get some beta on this side before they go ahead to the next stage, I'd love to have some imput on the games development.
