AION CBT Launcher

Greetings!

So I got my paws on the CBT-Client, and I wanted to share some information with you guys.

First of - the updating of the Client still goes on, and it is as slow as Vista. Really, so far only 5 files have been downloaded within the last hour. I assume it will take days to download all the ~700 files. And I always thought they had fast internet access in South korea...

Next, at least the launcher runs fine on Parallels - I wish that would say something about ingame performance >_<.

Now for something for Ja, mein Kaiser and other korean speakers: The Pic to the left says something about a guild-event. Anyone care to translate?

I attached the two attachments I made so far. Oh, and Mods and Admin(s) - think before you censor / delete. No law (that affects me) was broken in order to get the client, and to post the screenshots.

Let's just say someone from korea gave it to me. Better?

Nice, and not sure why this would be deleted, I think we all knew Aion would have a patcher window :P every MMO does.

Once its patched does it let you run the client up until a login screen?

Its the Third Week Theme of CBT2.

This thread could easily turn into a "where can i dl it?" thread therefore i suggest to close it.

I don't think this will be neccessary. Everyone should comply with the laws of his respective country. Also, I'm under no obligation to tell anyone where, or how I got it, right? Discussion shouldn't be consored, and with all due respect to NC Soft, this isn't an official forum.

It took some time to understand what you ment - I do NOT wish this thread to become a place to explain legislature, and how wrong statements like these are. Could we please focus our discussion on these Screenshots, and my comments in the first post?

What harm would do someone with client?

And i also don't get why various client links got deleted, if they wanted to filter us, ip ban is easy to do, but as you can see, the updater is running.

Ok, would you kindly explain what I "stole"? Stealing requires the change of ownership, which didn't happen here.
And what does KSSN mean? Accusing someone of stealing is something that should not be done hastily. As I said, somone from korea gave it to me - there, are you pleased, now that everything is "legal" according to the a law that doesn't affect me?

I think this is premature, and exagerrated. It is the Mod's or Admin's job to act as soon as something happens.

Which or whoose "rules" would AionSource break? Again, a question of "where" is perfectly fine (legal wise), even the answer is. But for the sake of playing nice with others here, I won't disclose any details about how I got the client. Better?

And no one broke any "rules" there - relax, everything is allright here.

Even though I will always think Lyan is a little PMS about everything, I will have to agree with her this time.

If you got this client from a Korean friend of yours, please ask him about those translations.

AionSource might not be an "official" NCSoft website for the game "Aion: The Tower of Eternity", but it is for sure the biggest Aion community you will find in North America under the NCSoft wing.

So yeah, if NCSoft wants to throw a friggin' bone to us, they will, if they haven't shown us anything about the client it's for a reason (although I am one of those that is getting tired of feeling that NA is being left way behind Korea, and Europe in regards to multimedia disclosure and updates)

But soon as the leechers arrive, this thread will turn into a dark, dark place with comments of illegal download and sharing content of the client which is also not allowed here @ AionSource (or any other Disciple of Aion site).

Again, suggesting to close this thread has nothing to do with your previous posts and how you got that client. Its all about how future posters could violate our rules until a mod or admin finds this thread. I (and many others) just dont want to see yet an other thread of this matter.



For the picture-part:
I just simply pointed out that this picture was discussed before - in fact, you can find threads, vids about loading screens, login screens, etc in the vid&img section), i cant see how we need more thread for these.


And yes, i have PMS every time this topic comes up

I like the patch screen, they do a nice job with all their artwork. Now they better speed it up!
