I really had hopes that this game would be awesome. The character creation and artwork through out the game are just amazing and well done. However, the Huge amount of bot whispers the second you log in forces you to stay invisible the entire time you play. It's great to play the "guess which friend is or isnt online" game. Then the gold farmers spamming every single chat channel so they become completely useless is just too much. I understand any game is going to have their fair share of farmers but come on, this is rediculous. And whats with questing and basicly killing the same mob over and over and over and over? It got old real fast.Then the icing on the cake is the general nyerky nature of most players. I've never seen so much women bashing, racism and hate between Aussies and Americans in any game I've played. And I've played A lot of mmos. It's like every d-bag I was trying to escape from in WOW, EQ2, L2, etc etc have been amplified in Aion! It's disgusting.

I guess I'll be keeping my eye out for Stargate online.

Wish I could say it's been fun but I don't like to lie.

No, women bashing in MMOs isnt new to me. I'm used to the virgins who are scared of women. They just seem to over populate this game. It's pathetic. And the men I associate with are Actual men. Not morons. Sorry you associate with that kind of guy a lot.

So I was gonna sympathize, then I got categorized as a sad, beaten down excuse for a female player.

(A) Yes there are nyerkers in AION. There were nyerkers in WoW. There were nyerkers who put down women on a law website I used to visit a lot (I went to law school, it's not that weird). The internet is basically a place where people say the things they'd like to say in real life but don't because then everyone will know they're a nyerker.

(B) As with all segments of society, you will be happiest if you surround yourself with people you can stand and ignore the rest. Apparently you've managed to do this in real life, but not in AION. If you can only do that in one place, real life is definitely the place to be happy in. But the fact that you couldn't achieve that in AION is not the game's fault.

StarGate Worlds almost died..its now alive...well kinda last I heard.... I dunno whats all going on with it now.

As for the rest of the comments..yeah its NCSoft...the gold seller/bots and lets be as rude vile etc as we can be is almost synonymous with their games.
The reason is very simple....they don't have a very pro-active GM force.

Nothing you can do about it but ignore it..they do make high quality games even if they tend to be mostly grinders. Lineage II for all its faults (inc many seen in this game) is a few steps above most other MMO's in storyline and depth.

I'm sure you've already made up your mind to leave or whatever, but honestly in my experience blocking 3-10 names when you log in should have you set for hours of gold spam free channels and whispers.

I'm not sure what you mean by "guess which friend is or isn't online".. when you open up the friends tab you can check mark to show offline or online friends.

I haven't seen anything like the community you are describing on my server; sorry to hear yours is like that!

its easier than that, all you have to do is leave lfg, leave class channel, and level out of 1-10 zone. just to be extra sure level to 20+. in the abyss and beluslan there is nearly zero gold spam and just an occasional whisper.

It's not hard to right click a couple names, for the people that like reading the LFG/class channel anyway
