Go to Heiron, oh wait you're still in the 1-20 probably where so many of the unbanned bots have botted through already.

Heiron is almost PURELY bots. Hell, I found NINE, yes I COUNTED, NINE Cleric bots, without retarded gold farmer names all happily botting away on mobs 9 levels below them.

That was in just one tiny valley, not even making up half an inch on the map.


Go out further, and evidence of real players approaches zero. I left the zone and stopped trying to level because of trying to compete with kill stealing bots. The only place leveling works is the Abyss, which turned into an unplayable zone due to Asmodians incompetence at taking artifacts or fortresses so they just form raids of 40-50 level 40's and above to camp the exits of Teminon landing and what not.


PS: Asmodians of Yustiel, stop being terrible and take a fortress already, you have no excuse.

I guess even forums aren't bot-safe anymore, because taking over 3 times longer to do Beluslan quests because of a bot swarm cleaning the spawns of everything including your quest mobs isn't enough to conclude there are bots in this game which is the OP title and the object of my "disturbingly low reading comprehension level".

I can only find peace in the Abyss, at least before you get ganked by someone 10 levels above you can actually kill mobs with no waiting time.

At first the bots didn't bother me that much. I thought to myself, 'why worry about what someone else is doing, even if it's cheating and just plain lame'. But then the bots got worse. Much worse. Now there's way more bots than players in many spawn areas.


It's so bad now that it's interfering directly with my own game play. This is no longer a matter of what someone else is doing. It's a matter of what someone else is doing to me!


The bot situation is aggravated by the fact that NCSoft doesn't seem to be doing anything about it. We all report bots left and right and then see the same bots over and over again happily botting away in the game totally unhampered by our efforts or any efforts on the part of the developers to deal with them as a problem. It's starting to appear as though NCSoft doesn't care about our distress. Or, at least, doesn't consider it a high priority.


Unfortunately for all of us including NCSoft, the bot problem is about to become a very practical issue. I belong to a large guild. Actually, the largest guild on our server. We have multiple legions and hundreds and hundreds of members. And the chatter about the bot problem has gotten to the point now where people are genuinely ready to leave the game over it. Not empty threats anymore. Not just venting over a minor annoyance. But flat out frustration and sadness that we'll be leaving a game that many of us thought we'd be playing for years because it's become unplayable due to the bots.


Sad for us. But there'll be other games before long that we can move to. Sadder still for NCSoft because when we do, we won't be coming back. Even if they do eventually clean up the bot situation. They'd better move fast on this or they're going to lose a LOT of money over it.
