The Mau

These look like the Mau to me, except for the back legs, what do you think?

This is taken from the Aion Official Website:

The Mau are a breed of humanoid beasts found throughout the Asmodian territories. They possess acute agility and a carnal instinct for battle, providing a significant threat to the Asmodians in Pandaemonium. The tribes of the Mau are well adapted to their surroundings and live in close harmony with nature. They are exceedingly belligerent and courageous. They do not hesitate to bare their grisly teeth when they feel threatened. Typical weaponry used by the Mau is light, sharp, and thrown from a distance – ideal for their agile fighting style. In close combat, however, they are perhaps easier to handle than the brutish Krall. Yet another characteristic of the Mau is that they are able to tame nearby beasts. These tamed minions are used against their enemies in battle with startling efficiency. Despite their physical advantages, the Mau have not managed to dominate the Asmodian territories for one perceivable reason - their lack of unity. The Mau are very able creatures individually, both in strength and intelligence. However, as a whole, their culture revolves around small tribes allowing little organization in warfare. Despite this, they are often found jumping into the forefront of battle when they see their own kind in danger.

Well the Mau were described as Agile and quick. Centaur are generally not.

I thought that at first too but i think they may be something different.

Either way those Centaur look pretty damn badass. Which is what you want out of a mob. Something that looks like it will rip your arms off them hit you in the crotch with them until you keel over in a world of pain.

Good observation though.

Yea, probarly just a mob.. If it was a Mau, they would have some kind of cloth or armor on. Still a good observation.

Well, I just noticed that they were both Tiger typed races... so they could both be part of the Mau race.

Definitely not MAU. MAU are in Asmodian territory. Everything as of late has been Elyos Territory focus...

You know, that is the first time I've really stared at that particular still. We all know, NCsoft is keeping extremely quiet about the Asmodian race as a whole, looks and attribute wise.

But, what if(And this is a BIG what if), they decided to toss us just the TINIEST clue. I mean, we have read it over and over that the Asmodians won't be "devil-like", but that they will be more like the Elves/Night Elves in terms of a comparison on looks. Well, if you stare at that picture above, that player character CLEARLY has the dark bluish skin that we have all come to know and expect from a "Dark/Night Elf". The character is VERY covered up, maybe only to give that tiny hint to those who bother looking close. The rest of them is covered in bulky robes and armor.

It's late, and I'm tired, but after reading the Elf/Night Elf comparison of the Elyos/Asmodian looks so many times, and then having a zoomed in still of this picture put in front of me, it seems to make sense.

Oh, um, on topic.. what they said. Good find on the cat/centuar pics, but I don't think those are the Mau, judging by the artists rendering of them in the drawing.

You know...you could be right here man. Thing is, why you we randomly see one of them there ? Don't the 2 races kinda hate each other? Cause if so they be in constant pvp if they saw each other, but thats just a guess. But good eyes...I wonder what that is...
