Resource gathering

I don't know if this video has been posted before.

YouTube - Aion Gathering

There we can see an Elyos gathering resources. The interface looks similiar to crafting. Anybody has a theory of what these bars mean?

BTW, the music looks awesome. Is that ingame music?

I haven't seen the video before, maybe because I'm not often looking.
To me, the bars look like the resource is either going to be good or bad. Blue = good, orange = bad.
You can see this from the first part in the video compared to the later parts. The blue bars fills up and his does a kind of cheer motion, but when the orange bar fills up, it's a depressed/disappointed motion

Blue bar: success bar.
Orange bar: fail bar.
If blue bar is faster at the right end you gathered successfully. If orange is faster, you fail.

At least resource gathering looks relatively entertaining (at least, for the first 100 times.)

Hopefully they can add some Speed effects, like the Speed Kill system in Prince of Persia. THAT would be fun

I agree, but maybe the orange bar is the amount you get from the gathering. The more filled the orange bar the higher amount of the gathered material. The latter makes more sense tho, jus a thought.

Well if you look at it, everytime the orange bar fills before the blue bar does there's a "failing" emote. However when the blue bar fills up before the orange, there's a kinda victory emote and glow that suggests he successfully gathered something.
