2. Are those first pics of a Templar?

They probably are. After all, gladiators will probably do two-handed weapons or dual-wield weapons. The fact that that guy is using a shield must mean that he's a templar. Then again, he could still be a warrior and just hasn't advanced yet.

And that game looks so great in those pictures. Equipment actually has it's own shape as opposed to just being a skin. And the environment is absolutely gorgeous. No man can ever accuse this game of having ugly graphics. It actually reminds me of FFXI, but taken ten steps further. Thank Jesus for the Crytek Engine!

Although I can understand where you might have assumed that Gladiators only wield 2H weapons or dual-wield weapons, Aion-Team has not yet announced whether classes will only be able to wield particular weapons. Templar would be obvious to most of us, but it should be just as obvious to everyone that the information we've received from them are still very vague.

Of course, my attempt to be on the safe side can be easily disproved by players of the Korean Closed Beta.

Oh, and as for the screens, they look great, but keep in mind .JPG format really kills the true quality of the picture. Even then that makes me smirk at the fact my PC might not be able to play it after all...

Judging from the use of stigma as tools to use different equipment, I can say that a skilled player, or at least a player with basic knowledge can figure out that a DPS class doesn't need a shield and a tank does need a shield. So, it's not a matter or what a player is allowed to use, but as a matter of what a player should use. But hey, the player who took these screenshots could be a rebel XD

I'm not sure I understand what you're trying to say. So you've assumed the character on the screenshots were featuring the Templar because of the equipment and now changed to the realization that others can wield any weapon?

I assumed the player knew what he was doing. Although it's just as plausible that he decided not to wield the ideal weapons for his class, I simply assumed that he had a sword and shield setup because he was a Templar.

(Regarding the Templar Thing...)

I just assumed it was a Templar because I was looking at what he was wearing as well as his mana pool / health. I assumed it would be a Templar or Gladiator and he seems to have a lot of mana, which I figured it would make more sense for a Templar, tank like, to have more mana than a Gladiator... at least in other games. But I was just curious if someone knew for sure

lol thanx mark! .... then finding a spot to lvl isnt gonna be easy.. but according to the pics World looks big enough for all of us!!

You won't need a spot to level. You level the fastest through PvP and questing.
